When a guy comes in first year with a thrown together transfer roster and is the clear cut 4th best team, well that’s means everyone basically stinks. The entire mid-tier needs to step it up and Michigan and USC need not suck.

And your point is ?
OSU is still the favorite to win it all.
No one cares about 2nd place.
Or mid tier Big Ten...

My point is we’re potentially missing the playoffs because the conference literally stinks. We faced no real competition until today.

So take the punt return and call it back because of a couple illegal blocks and that possibly changes the score. Then call the holds on the final long run and that does change the score. Get rid of the screwed up punt that he seems to have taken his eyes off the ball and that could change the score. Not saying we could have won but it would have been a lot closer game.

I think the game turned when IU had a 3rd down & 1 & was moving the ball, then IU got called for illegal procedure when it seemed obvious OSU was guilty of offsides, the Fox TV crew saw it that way, then it's 3rd & 6, OSU sacked Rourke & it was game over pretty much right there.

Cig told Fisch that was the turning point. Said we couldn't do anything offensively after that.

Florida is better than their record.

3 of their losses are to playoff teams (Georgia, Texas, Tennessee), and the other 2 are to potential playoff teams (Miami, Texas A&M).
It doesn’t matter. They aren’t putting in 3- loss SEC teams. Particularly a team that lost to Kentucky and a .500 Florida team.

IU is potentially missing the playoffs because of two disasterous special teams plays.

And because we literally played no one with a pulse in the non conference. Not sure how we do against Minnesota, Iowa, and Illinois but it would have been nice to play a couple of them instead of UCLA, MSU, and Purdue.

BigTen isn’t as bad as the OP is trying to make it sound. It seems bad because we won’t have played anyone of the top 6 or 7 teams besides Ohio State.

I don't know. I really enjoyed going to the UCLA and MSU games.

If we do get in there’s absolutely no reason to ever play anyone with a pulse in non-conf.

Coach C saw that as the turning point as well in the post Q&A.

After years in the BIG East, I'll never apologize for a break in the schedule and never shed a tear for the west teams now having to play big boy football.

I’d say that dropped snap on the punt is what did everything in. Gave OSU unbelievable field position and a pretty easy score going into halftime. Completely changed the momentum of the game. That punt return would’ve still happened, but it wouldn’t have followed a disastrous end to the first half. Missed snap changed momentum, punt return TD finished us off.

That ball gets punted, you’re probably looking at 7-7 halftime.

the punt that was returned wasn’t a good punt or the first one he had.

Disagree. Beating every team except one elite team, at their place, is good enough to get in.

We deserve to get in. And with a more standard B1G schedule, there isn't much reason to play tougher OOC. Just happened to fall against us.

Now, I'd never have not played Louisville, feel them and Cincinnati are the perfect level to play one medium OOC game. But still, we played a B1G ten schedule and have only lost once.

No, the defense brought one more rusher than IU had as blockers, an OL player can't block two rushers. It is a OC problem not OL problem.
A couple times the RB stepped up to block no one. Haven’t to the wrong hole. But you nailed it by bringing up that’s the OCs problem. To have two weeks to prepare for them and no real results is a shame.
