That was sad.

OSU is going to be ugly.
We were up 31-10 in the 4th and let up at the end. I don't like that either, but don't act like that doesn't happen to every team. I like road wins.

By the way, OSU beat NIU 20-13 at home last week. By your logic, next week will be the worst game in the history of the sport.

Relax. Some of us just want to talk about the game, okay? Not sure why you get so upset about that.

Because simply declaring that OSU will be ugly after this game, when OSU had even more of a struggle with a worse team last week isn't my idea of solid discussion.
"A worse team"? Wow. Like I said, some of us want to talk about football. If you don't, that's fine.

That was beyond stupid ...they play and coach with a low football IQ.

Northern Illinois lost to BC today. They aren't bad, but OSU "should've" crushed them.

What good discussion point did the OP initiate?
What good is your continual whining about it and any other opinion that you deem critical? Why not share your opinion and let others have their's?

I did express my opinion, oh board emperor.

Folks - that PI was bogus and BOGUS.

You cannot put the defense out continually CONTINUALLY asking them to bail out.

Offense: Up 21 with 6 to play.

Don't take continual penalties to put you behind the chains. Don't leave points on the field in the 1st half. Nate Sudfeld - make some plays occasionally? He hurt us today, ALOT!

I did not mean to demean people with disabilities. I love and respect them. IU football plays stupid.

That was on the staff folks. Went too conservative too early on O and prevent on D. Hinton made some incredible throws though.

6 times in IU football history have we started a season 4-0. I am not sure what some people really expect from this program. We may be 2 passes from 2-2, but we aren't. We have been 2 plays from 4 -0 a few times. RB889 is on here a lot trying to bring a little common sense to these discussions, unfortunately he and others get drowned out.

Saying the OSU game is going to be ugly is not discussing football. It's BS garbage from someone with a spiteful agenda. End of story.

We can barely win a game when it is handed to us on a silver platter.

I definitely take issue with you that it was "handed to us on a silver platter."
IU earned that 31-10 lead. Yes, the finish sucked but you're way off on that.

I don't believe in negative posts, but critical, constructive posts are fine. That said, I do think there are too many people on here though who are trying to police what people say. Let people say whatever they want, within the moderator guidelines.

I think the Ohio State game about a 30% chance of being a close game. IU will have to win the turnover battle and have a great kicking game. And IU will have to be able to run the ball like they did today.

IU Football has few followers. I am a fan and an ALUM and when they do sh*t like this it makes me mad. Poor coaching and playing. Period.

It's a shame the way the game ended gives all the nay sayers and pundits on espn ammunition. After the pick six we just shut it down. I don't think it really means anything going forward.

It will be incredibly difficult to run the ball effectively against the Ohio State. Their front seven is really athletic. IU will obviously need to throw it well to win, and they'll need to do it between the hash marks, which Wilson doesn't seem comfortable doing. Hope it's a good game and that they can compete.

What's it to you? If you don't like RBB taking things personally, just ignore him.

Besides, his reply was ten times as substantive as the original garbage post.
I like to be able to discuss football after the game, something that RBB seems to not favor. And since the mods don't seem to support football discussion to any real degree, it is occasionally necessary to explain what some of us are trying to do. And if the original post was "garbage", one would assume that moderators would address it, rather than allowing the thread to deteriorate. Hope that answers your question.

Over the last few years I think a large number of people left this board because because they were viewed as being too negative. I got a 3-week "time-out" last year and I never made a personal attack on a poster or a player. But I was very critical of the schedule philosophy. Remember how many people were upset because the Hoosiers were playing Missouri? I think the moderators are being a lot more sensible this year. And I imagine that some of the posters will come back if they are allowed to express their opinions. Pessimism is not a sin. It is ironic that many of the personal attacks are being made by those who are the most optimistic IU supporters.

I'll take 4-0 with a relatively healthy team coming out of the game. IU blew the onside kick. They won't do that again. The last Wake Forest drive had a fluke 20-yard pass completion on a batted pass. I doubt Fant will let another receiver get behind him on fourth and 17. All in all a good win.
