We are very likely to lose at rutgers as well. I dont see any road wins at this point. That blew us out at home last Monday just lost at Rutgers.

I’m guessing many people on this board never played a sport in college, let alone an NCAA Division 1-3 sport. They don’t know how much work these D1 kids put into what they do.
So, as a former college athlete, when I see individual players get ripped, it’s a little irritating.
All that said, what’s equally irritating is seeing athletes that put in the work squander their opportunities by not putting in the effort when playing.
Shocked I’ve seen that from IU the past few games.
I'll pray for your soul and forgive your comments since this was your message #666!Rutgers had a guy playing after a dislocated knee cap. Our culture is still SOFT.
Games like this are why I never bought the pre season Nebraska hype. At some points of the season, I just knew Nebraska would do Nebraska things. That blew us out at home last Monday just lost at Rutgers.

They also beat the great Holtsman of OSU as wellThat blew us out at home last Monday just lost at Rutgers.
Teams that fear having to face someone on the road are usually teams that aren’t very good. Very good teams rise to the challenge...the contenders. They stay focused on playing to their potential, regardless of the environment. Remember those teams? They’e affectionately thought of today as simply, “The Glory Years” in the annals of IU basketball (as we once knew of it).Big Ten is a bitch as usual, especially on the road. However, we are starting to see the separation between contenders and pretenders.
Nebraska has a different set of rules to resume action, it seems. Rub some dirt on it and get back out there! He was cleared to play 2 weeks after dislocating a kneecap.

I have seen "soft" used to describe the team. I hope they are talking about their play and not their ability to play through injury.I’m guessing many people on this board never played a sport in college, let alone an NCAA Division 1-3 sport. We have been playing soft. We attacked Marquette. The movement and action was towards the goal and not side to side waiting for an opening. We have to force our will and make the defense react. We have been letting the defense force us into unproductive things. Dribbling from side to side or slow passes won't break down the defense. We have to learn where a defense can be exploited and execute properly. I don't feel the players can make those adjustments on the court
Romeo likes to sit back and wait for others to score early. He needs to find a way to score early. Smith had a quick start Saturday. He needs to get the ball moving toward the basket. Using him on some pick and rolls with Morgan ready to receive a pass or clean up with a rebound basket would put pressure on the defense. We need to soften up the defense, not soften our offense.
On defense, let's get ready early and stop giving up early possession layups. Send the message early that we have the will and are bringing the effort to make it difficult.
Since I heard a comment that Smith's dad tweeted something about the team, I have been looking for signs of a bad locker room.I think the disheartening think is we don't look excited to play! 'm glad we don't have guys pounding their chests but we need to see some excitement to be playing. Clifton Moore is the only guy I see that looks excited and plays excited when he comes in the game. Davis has tried to play with an edge but he is so limited.
I heard Jeff Rabjohns say something that put things in perspective. If the B1G had a full team player draft (12 players) who on IU, besides Morgan and Langford , would make it? Also, we’re very easy to defend since nobody can hit 3’s.We have a top 10 pick and another NBA prospect. Archie needs to get more out of the rest of the players. Rutgers offense tore up the Nebraska defense.

Where does the edge or chip on the shoulder come from now? You got two captains that need to motivate and lead.

Don’t really get the draft reference. Having two of the top 12 is pretty good. Would any team claim to have three? The lack of shooting is quite valid.I heard Jeff Rabjohns say something that put things in perspective.
