Tevin's 40 time

There's an IndyStar article that agrees with the assessment you provided. That's great. Now it's time for him to relax for a couple weeks with his family and friends and get ready for what is about to be a grind over the next 9 months. People always talk about players hitting a rookie wall but I just think it's the fact that these players play all season and then have to train for the combine followed by rigorous spring/summer camps before the season even starts. They never really get a break until their rookie season ends.

Go represent IU Coleman!

Some sites I'm reading claim . . .

that pro day numbers are "faster" than what would have been run at the combine. (For example, a Colts-oriented site that has hopes of a Coleman selection at 29 had a post on this.)

Any insight into whether that's got any legs, and if so why?

There Was a Video With That Tweet

Looks like at the pro day, the runner just starts when they want. So the timers have to see it, then react to start their clocks.

At the combine, I think they are given a "go" signal and its easier to get an accurate start.

4.35 - Based on A Coleman Tweet

by tomorrow it may be a 2.8!

Great Great GREAT result for Tevin.

Had too much fun watching him play and I hope he breaks NFL records for somebody.

But as with ARE, while it happened, you sorta knew you were watching greatness, but it still takes a while to "sink in" and accept "Yep - I saw that."

Wow.

and "who's next?"

Actually a fairly accurate scouting report although a little harsh

If he can develop a little more patience, he can be a great running back in the NFL but he will learn very quickly that he can't just slam into the line if there is nothing there from the outset.

Oh, come now, jacksback.

Why are you worried about Tevin's 40 time?
You and I know that we are going to have a two-headed monster this year back there with Redding and Howard.

Running game will surprise people this year.

I find it more interesting than the typical drivel about spring practice and how we are bigger, faster and stronger blah blah blah. VBG!

I'll still be giving you the full spring report to let you know who the upcoming stars will be for us, our first bowl season in the Kevin Wilson era.

And, yes, we are bigger, stronger and faster this year.

Make your reservations now for Pasadena....or Shreveport.

I wasin IndyThursday, and heard the #29 discussion on one

of the talk radio shows. Have mixed feelings about that. Good for him to go to a team like the Colts and be on my Pro team so I can root for him, but (and there is always a "but") the Colts look set at RB with Gore and Heron. That would mean several guys competing for the 3rd spot.

As far as the timing of his race goes, if they used a starters gun at the start line, there is a delay in the sound traveling from the gun to the ear of the timer. Yes it is a millisecond or whatever, but there is a delay. At track meets, the timers watch for the smoke of the gun to start the watches. Of course if they used electronic timing that is eliminated and more accurate. Do they do that at the combine or is it hand timed?
