Oh ya clear as day F ace Baldwin. I mean. If I’m a student I’m joining in for sure. This is pro sports, leave the kids at home.

I humbly disagree. I believe this is another example of society in general becoming less civil.
Younger people, like you Cav, will view this differently. I don’t know how to determine which of us is correct, maybe both of us, maybe neither. Perhaps the answer is deeper than yes or no.
If my college student child or my 10 year old, were part of those type chants I would try and teach/explain why it is wrong.

Degradation of morals is normal evolution of a society gone fat. No civilization lasts forever. Cannibalism will eat away amongst us before Climate Change chokes us at the throat.

I find it funny that fans of a team who idolized RMK would make statements about civility and crass language.. if it's wrong, then it should be wrong for everyone. Fans players and coaches.

I agree with you regarding Knight. He used to say he was a teach similar to any other faculty. My thought on that was that you would not tolerate that language from the English prof during a lecture and it should therefore not be tolerated from the teacher/basketball coach.

I found it amusing that a referee ejected someone in the front row at about the same time students were chanting. I agree that you hear this in many arenas; not sure how you would enforce anything.

I really wanted to know the guy…. Sadly I did not.

Not great. Probably worth a pregame PA announcement telling them to cut out the serious vulgarity.

This is not the brightest group of IU student fans that we have seen over the years. Chanting at Baldwin while he is dropping 4 out of 5 threes looks and sounds ignorant. Just STFU and cheer until he cools off or screws up. Some players wilt under the taunts. He isn’t one of them.

Reminds me of a story about a rural high school game. Half the crows is going nuts on the officials. They ask the principal if he will calm them down. He takes the mic and says-Yes these officials are terrible and they are screwing us but calm down now and we’ll get em after the game.

I agree. We had a good time last night. And some forget that these students haven't seen IU get out of the second weekend, ever. They keep showing up and last night Baldwin gave them something to do.

It was, "F Ace Baldwin". Clear as day. He hit a 3 late in the clock during the 1st half. He turned directly to the student section and said STFU. It was on after that.

Yeah, I mean if you start it I am not going to blame the student section for finishing it....

Speaking of student chants, does anyone know what the incident was regarding the referee kicked out a fan in the first row over something that was said? Was this on the floor seats or the sideline bleacher seats? I wonder what vulgar utterance could have precipitated such a call during the game.

It was Cav, screaming at Anthony Leal about how he's even worse than Romeo.

The ref is apparently a big Shakespeare fan.
