Strip poker, anyone?

As an example, lefties here largely said Franken had to go. We have people capable of doing these jobs who are not molesters. Why defend someone not worthy?

I don't get why so many believe Trump is the only American capable of running the country. It seems there are many who would have the same agenda and not have near the baggage. Why fall into a cult of personality. Ditch Cuomo, ditch Trump. We damn well can do better on the left and right

Not defending, that’s great of lefties. How about outrage on here from the lefties? How about every news cycle on MSM filled with reports and calls for his ouster?

Like the right called for Trump's ouster? Like the right refused to defend Trump? The only reason Republicans want to oust a Republican is if they vote or speak against Trump.

There are plenty of people who can be governor who have not committed such offenses. If there is any credibility to the story the people of NY should replace him.

And I will flat out say this, Democrats should not turn him into a golden idol paraded around at a liberal meeting. That would greatly be offensive to me as a Christian and as a decent human.

Yep, they can call Franken and confirm.

People in NY should investigate (news, legal authorities). If there is credibility, get rid of him. I don't know, maybe if many women make the accusation and he has gone on national TV and confessed to such actions we can really say it has credibility.

I am not a New Yorker, those that are and know so much, have people come forward corroborating or refuting?

I've never seen anything like this in US politics. Trump, of all people, has literally become a messianic figure to millions of worshipers, who believe he has been anointed by God to save America from a satanic cabal. The recently published letter written by relatives of Adam Kinzinger is emblematic of this insanity. We're definitely in Crazy Town and this is scary stuff.

"I am the Lord thy God; thou shalt not have strange gods before Me." Trump is one helluva strange god.

Indeed. I have to quote my uncle about what you described: “I’ve been to a county fair and a donkey f*ck, and I don’t believe I’ve ever seen anything like this”

Why would the right have called for Trump's ouster? And please be specific, like the specific fraud charges against Cuomo.

LMAO! You didn't idolize both Clintons? You haven't idolized the walking cadaver, Biden, when he clearly has been a racist and serial liar?

You didn't idolize Cuomo?

Many Trump supporters are just desperate. Their world is changing, more quickly in some districts than others.

Trump appealed to them by claiming that only he could restore their world to 1950's "normal" and that those nasty Democrats and "socialists" were going to open the borders and take their jobs (and daughters). Remember when Trump promised the Carrier employees he would bring their jobs back?

Even though they ridicule experts, the Trump supporters sense it too. They know their grandfathers', fathers' and uncles' jobs have gone to Singapore or Mexico or somewhere, while the jobs Japan sent back don't pay as much or offer comparable benefits. Their local hardware and retail stores and malls have been sabotaged by Wal-Mart or SOMEthing, and all those very basic retail jobs in their communities have melted away. So now, out of desperation, they flock to a false god:

OK we need some clarity... Are you referring to the generic "Right" as in people in public life, and members of the GOP who identify as "Right"? I assume that's the case...

So to another poster you respond with "You", as in the following...

LMAO! You didn't idolize both Clintons? You haven't idolized the walking cadaver, Biden, when he clearly has been a racist and serial liar?

Now if this is ONLY referring to people on the board that is one thing. The problem you have is many of the critics of Trump are far more on the "right" than you're willing to admit...

But let's assume for a minute you are responding regarding the generic "Left", as you were the generic Right in the first quote. In that case if the Left had in fact idolized BOTH (either?) Clintons we never would have had the nightmare of Trump's presidency. HRC lost because too many left-leaning Dems either didn't vote or voted for 3rd party candidates because they didn't consider Clinton "liberal" enough...

The idea that Biden is some sort of "darling of the Left" is pretty ridiculous as well. The entire reason he was behind in the early Dem Primaries is because he did NOT appeal to the Progressive wing of the Dem Party... Trump's efforts to paint Biden as a "leftist" resonate with the political spectrum his supporters inhabit. But if people on the Left don't view a Candidate as "one of them" and on the Left, it's a little hard to take that claim very seriously...

This brings us back to your attempts to smear Biden as "racist" which I initially intended to ignore. I don't know what "evidence" you have to link besides his opposition to forced busing, but feel free to link any additional details you want to use to justify your claim.
But you can't just rely on Biden's position on a single issue, because even POC had divergent opinions on the issue of "busing"...

Believe it or not Biden had a history of being on the "right side" of race questions Prior to adopting his controversial position that you want to use to paint him as racist. Prior to ever running for office, Biden's personal history included working as the only white employee (lifeguard) at a facility that was predominantly patronized by POC. He had also been personally involved as an activist who was part of a campaign to integrate a movie theatre in Wilmington...

On top of that, he had worked at the grassroots level in 1968 on Eugene McCarthy's campaign, and his race for the Senate in 1972 included supports for civil rights and even initially supporting busing as part of a larger pro-integration platform. He came to view Federally-mandated busing as an intrusion, which was largely a reflection of the feedback he got from many of his constituents, both White and Black.

I was a junior in high school at that time, and busing was NOT a consensus issue. Opposition to forced busing didn't automatically mean you were regarded as "racist". There wasn't even a universal approach to busing among members of the Civil Rights Community...

A prime example of the diversity of opinions on the issue is this appraisal of Biden (and his record) from Ralph G Neas former executive director of the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights... Of Biden he said...

“We disagreed on busing . . . but I always looked to Biden as a leader in the field of civil rights in other critical areas.”

Some of those "other areas" included Biden's support and work on expanding the Civil Rights act, his support for broadening and protecting the Voting Rights Act, and his leadership and support for anti-Apartheid measures. Biden was a leading critic of US support for the RSA and a leading proponent of economic sanctions, boycotts, and other measures aimed at undermining US tacit support for the abuses of Apartheid...

It's instructional to note that the issue of busing was a point of contention in the early Primaries dominated by Progressive voices. It was an attempt by the far left to paint Biden as not progressive enough and not willing to confront the Right on race issues. But the reason Biden was able to withstand the early Bernie onslaught was because the race transformed when the landscape shifted to Primaries in states where there were relatively large numbers of POC in the electorate.

Just as Biden was able to win re-election in Delaware in 1978 by a higher % than he won in '72 because efforts to paint him as "racist" fell on deaf ears, the people in SC supported him overwhelmingly in that crucial Primary because they were aware of his efforts to promote Civil Rights over the course of his career.

As to your trumpeting of Trump's claims regarding his administration and Blacks on the economic front, the fact-checkers as usual provide the "rest of the story"...

On Trump's claims to have lowered Black unemployment to record levels...

"Trump is seeking credit he may not deserve for black job growth. He’s also simply wrong to assert that Democrats haven’t done anything to improve the economic situation for African Americans.
It's true that black unemployment did reach a record low during the Trump administration: 5.9 percent in May 2018. It currently stands at 6 percent.

The most dramatic drop in black unemployment came under Obama, when it fell from a recession high of 16.8 percent in March 2010 to 7.8 percent in January 2017."

It appears there is a second accuser, the second larger font story on CNN and second on USAToday.

He's pretty much toast at this point, anyone know NY laws on impeachment/recall?

More fallacies and false equivalencies from you, Danny.

The Clintons, Biden and Cuomo were never proclaimed by millions of admirers as anointed by God to save the country from the devil's army. Further, I'm not recalling any cult-like Clinton or Biden conventions where golden statues of their likenesses were rolled out for veneration.

Here's a portion of the January 8, 2021 letter from some members of Adam Kinzinger's family condemning the Republican Congressman for having the balls to call out Trump for the Big Lie (i.e. that the election was stolen) and for Trump's role in the January 6 insurrection:

"President Trump is not perfect but neither are you or any of us for that matter. It is not for us to judge or be judged. But he is a Christian! (If God can forgive and use King David in the Bible, He can do the same with President Trump). Franklin Graham, Robert Jeffress, to name just a few of many pastors who mentor President Trump, know that he is a believer! Obviously you did not hear President Trump's Christmas message to the American people (fake news media didn't cover his message), where he actually gave the plan of salvation, instructing people how to repent and ask the Savior into their heart to be 'Born Again!' (To believe in John 3:16). [I've listened to the message; there's no talk of repentance, and Trump doesn't know the meaning of the word]. When was the last time you proclaimed your faith, Adam? (Oh, we forgot, you now belong to the devil's army). You won't convince us otherwise with your horrible, rude accusations of President Trump!"

This Trump worship is not limited to a few loonies. Go to any far-right "news" site and you'll see countless comments condemning any and all critics of Trump as evil-doers and instruments of the devil.

Sorry, dude, but this kind of messianic worship is unprecedented in American politics. This, coupled with the growing influence of QAnon and other far-right extremists, doesn't bode well for the future of what used to be a great political party.
