Why? They played a late game double OT game and had less total hours to prepare for their next game on the west coast than we had…. Explain why this is dumb. Because I dare to defy the narrative?

Tired of the fatigue excuse. That’s just an excuse. I gave the season a B- Woody is such an incredible improvement over Archie. But these are 20 year old kids fighting for their tournament lives.
There’s a way to fix this. Finish top 4 and don’t play until Friday. Avoid 1st 4. But they made their bed and just got shellacked as a result. Glad to see Notre Dame overturn the narrative however
Yep you are correct. Our players weren’t tired at all. St. Mary’s is 30+ points better than us every time we play.
Woodson and our players just didn’t care as much as you about winning that game. Shame on them.
Who said it’s an excuse? But you’re not arguing anywhere close in good faith comparing Notre Dame and IU’s situations. Notre Dame lost their first game in their conference tournament and literally had an entire week off before their play-in game. Indiana has played 2 additional games in one less day than Notre Dame.
Losing by 10 last night might get chalked up to the schedule. We were pounded and outclassed. We'd have lost by 40 had SMU not called it off. That's not just from being tired.

Three causes for the loss:
1: failing to lock in a bid when we had the chance so we would not have to play do or die in the BTT.
2: lack of shooters.
3: horrible schedule & travel that no other team in the tourney had to endure = physical & mental fatigue.

4). St Mary’s is a much much better team than IU.
Not sure why we can't just say we got our behinds whipped and move on. I mean do some people constantly make excuses in their real lives? Good lord we lost big. Let's fix it for next year. Woodson certainly did not make excuses.
Notre Dame played with real heart. They are well coached. They can hit 3's. At this point in the season they are much better than IU - just the way it is. Wish it weren't so but it is. IU never got better. Ok, we won a couple in the BIG tourney, but really never improved. Same old starting lineup with no improvement. The travel excuse is just that, an excuse.
The one thing that was better at the end of this season was fight and heart…. Which we certainly hadn’t demonstrated in recent years. That gives me hope. But we got our asses whipped. Period

Part of that is because Alabama sucks donkey balls. And Nate Oats can't coach his way out of a wet paper bag. So glad we didn't pursue him. He won't be at Alabama much longer. Herb Jones covered a lot of their deficiencies last year.
They have to be the easiest prep I've ever seen. They don't run anything. Four guys standing around the three point line. No movement, no screening, no cutting. Total joke of an offense. He's like George from "Hoosiers." "Can't score unless you shoot."

It's not the flight. The flight is your lame excuse. Indiana played 5 games in 8 days. Iowa played 4 games in 7 days and lost too. The body can only take so much.
Everybody that has responded to you? IU didn’t lose because of a late flight. They got their assess beat by a better team. Acting like playing 5 games in a week didn’t play a part is nonsense and comparing ND’s situation to Indiana’s is even dumber because it’s not comparable. ND had an entire week off between their conference tournament and play-in game (Wed to Wed). IU played four freaking games in that said time frame.
