Still can’t make 3s or FTs

Woody can win the easy ones at home. Minnesota is awful. Lol IU still can’t make 3s or FTs. Friday at Nebraska might be another embarrassing loss
For your sake I hope so. These wins are tough to handle.

WTH are you talking about? Coming into the game IU was #33 in FT % WITH Ballo taking 25% of those FT's. The rest of the team's 85%. Tonight was an off night for a few but Ballo was 8-11.

Learn to be half full instead of half empty.

Did u morons look at the stats of the game tonight? Big Ten play is when things matter.

4-14 or 28.6% from 3pt
18-29 or 62.1% from FT

Remember, Woodson said the offense was changing and more perimeter play and 3pt attempts. NOTHING has changed. Wait, you’ll see when the schedule toughens. More blowout losses

Harder to hit free throws at home in the Big. Can’t make this shit up. You’re the moron.

we've made FTs fine all year. It's not a linear thing, some nights you shoot better and some nights you don't. I think they've turned a corner on FT shooting and we've shot 3s better this year too, mainly just not taking enough.

And the lack of perimeter volume will destroy us like always

Have you looked at the SEASON stats?

FT's - 75% - not great but not bad either. 76th in the nation

3's - 35'9% - once again not great but not bad. - 105th in the nation

And those numbers are over several games, not just one BT game.
I get your assertion that in BT play the 3's % might drop due to defense but I don't think the FT defense is any better in the BT!

Since you are throwing out numbers, I will too.

2's - 50.9% for number 9 in the nation.

There are a lot of things to bitch about when it comes to this team but last night, especially in the first half, they played pretty well, IMO.
I saw some energy, intensity, movement and some good D at times.

As of last night they are shooting 3's at 35.9%. That's good and equates to shooting more than 50% for 2, point wise. I think 33% is the cutoff for that percentage. Yet, with the offense IU runs I don't see a lot of ways they can take more 3's. IU's 3 point shooting is streaky at best and in a close B1G game that is not going to work.

Lots of good things from the game last night. Defense, overall was better. They had a good gameplan to slow Garcia down, and it worked for most of the game. And they rotated pretty well out of that. Carlyle and Tucker both got going a little bit. They pushed the ball in transition fairly well.

Obviously quite a few things they struggled with. And if Minny is decidedly one of the worst teams in the conference, we'll have to improve on those things quickly, and build on the good things we did, or we'll struggle to get many more wins.

But, its gonna be a long next 3 months if we don't see the good stuff as well as the bad.
