It's RHP Ben Grable on the mound. IU is the visiting team. I haven't seen a starting lineup yet, but Schuyler will be behind the plate again. Stadler traveled with the team but he was back at the hotel with some kind of illness. Let's hope the bats stay hot. The batting order/lineup is the same as the earlier game.

T1st:

IU went down in order.

B1st:

Grable got the leadoff hitter on a long drive that was caught in the warning track. A groundout got the 2nd out, but a single put a man on. Stetson doesn't have anyone hitting over .300 in the lineup with the best average at .294.

A lineout ended the inning.

End of 1st: IU 0 Stetson 0

I guess Hogan Denny can catch if Schuyler has to come out. Ptrich, do you know how many players can travel or can the whole roster go to away games? I figured there had to be some rules on the matter.

I honestly don't know. It's just something that I have never thought about when it comes to college baseball.

It's the middle of the order with Wiggins leading off. Wiggins singled to lead off with Hanley up.

Wiggins stole 2nd to put him in scoring position.

A Hanley single scored Wiggins to give IU an early lead. Oliver popped out and Cerny Kd looking for two outs and Hanley still at 1st. Moore popped up to retire the side.

B2nd:

Grable faced the 5 thru 7 hitters and he gave up a leadoff double. He then got a big out with a foul out with the runner still at 2nd. A K swinging got the 2nd out.

A 3-1 walk put runners on 1st and 2nd and two outs. A K ended the inning and the leadoff double stayed at 2B.

End of 2nd: IU 1 Stetson 0

Cerny flied out, Moore grounded out, and Schuyler singled to put a man on with two outs.

The top of the order was up. Brenczewski doubled, but Schuyler ran through a stop sign at 3rd and was tagged out at home to retire the side.

B5th:

Grable faced the 8 thru 1 hitters. Grable struck out the side.

With two more games this weekend, it's good that Grable is eating innings so far with effective pitching.

It's the 2 thru 4 hitters up with Taylor leading off and Stetson goes to the bullpen. Taylor grounded out.

Dickerson singled to put a runner on with one out. Wiggins Kd swinging for two outs.

Hanley singled to put runners at 1st and 2nd and one out.

Oliver walked on a 3-1 count to load the bases and two outs with Cerny up.

Big clutch single by Cerny scored Dickerson and Hanley to give IU a 3-0 lead and Moore up. A bobble on the play in LF resulted in an error on the play.

Stetson goes to the bullpen again with runners at 2nd and 3rd and two outs.

Moore grounded out to retire the side.

B6th:

RHP Pete Haas replaced Grable who had an excellent start to the game and he faced the 2 thru 4 hitters. Haas walked the leadoff hitter on a full count. A FC got the runner at 2nd for one out.

A throwing error by Haas put the runner on 1st at 2nd with one out. Another walk on a full count and a WP put runners on the corners with one out.

Another WP by Haas put runners at 2nd and 3rd and one out.

Haas then came up with a big K for the 2nd out with runners still at 2nd and 3rd.

Haas got out of the jam with a flyout and the move to him from Grable looked at first like it was going to blow up in our face. Grable had just struck out the side in the previous inning.

End of 6th: IU 3 Stetson 0

It's the top of the order up for IU. Brenczewski walked on a 3-1 count to lead off and the Hatters went to the bullpen with Taylor up.

Taylor hit into a DP for two outs. Dickerson hit into a groundout to retire the side and it was stretch time.

B7th:

Haas was back out there to face the bottom of the order. Haas Kd the leadoff hitter, a pinch hitter. With another pinch hitter at the plate, Haas walked the batter on a full count to put a man on with one out.

The runner on 1st stole 2nd. A groundout moved the runner to 3rd and two outs, and we were at the top of the order.

A single scored the runner from 3rd to make it 3-1 and a runner at 1st and two outs.

Haas couldn't get that third out and Mercer went to the bullpen and brought in RHP Seth Benes, and he faced the No. 2 hitter with two outs.

The runner on 1st attempted to steal 2nd and he was gunned down by Schuyler to end the inning.

End of 7th: IU 3 Stetson 1

A DP, IU's first of the day, emptied the bases with two outs. A groundout ended the inning.

It was obviously a different game from the earlier game and Stetson let us expand the lead in the 9th with some sloppy fielding which is something we know all about.

IU outhit the Hatters 11-6 but unlike the first game today, had just one extra base hit which was a double. Hanley was 3 for 5, Wiggins was 2 for 4, and Dickerson was 2 for 5. Cerny and Oliver had 2 RBIs each on their one hit each.

Grable was really effective going 5.0 in the start and giving up no earned runs, 3 hits, 6 Ks, 1 BB.

Haas went 1.2 IP and gave up the only earned run. He had some control problems while giving up one hit, 3 BBs, 2 Ks, and 2 WPs.

Benes came in for one batter and retired him.

Buhr went 2.0 innings to close out the game and gave up just 2 hits and the rest of his slate was clean.

Haas got IU's one error, while the Hatters had four errors on the game. IU improved to .500 at 5-5.

It will be Gilley on the mound for IU tomorrow at 1 p.m. ET in another game with Stetson.
