Indiana has added Shawn Watson as offensive quality control coach, IU coach Kevin Wilson said today.

It is a staff but non-coaching role, meaning everything basically except on-field instruction with players.

Watson has been at a number of schools, including Nebraska, Louisville and Texas.

Watson was the quarterback coach for Teddy Bridgewater at Louisville.

Today - for the first time in spring ball - IU cut the quarterback reps down to mainly two guys, Richard Lagow and Danny Cameron.

Wilson said he wants to be fair but having too many guys getting reps can be unfair in a way in that it may not allow guys who are moving in a good direction to get enough reps.

Wilson said he wants "two guys we can win with" at quarterback.

Today was the seventh of Indiana's 14 spring practices.
