A distinctive eight-inch mullet, bisected by a bleach-blonde stripe, adorns his head, and visible nipple piercings complete the ensemble. Questionable Life Decision: Circumcision Status Unknown.

This has been going on for a month, right? If they were coming from a foreign ship out at sea, we'd have long since found it. So we can probably rule that out. That leaves hobbyists, pranksters, or our own government doing classified stuff.

To me, Occam's Razor, they are ours but are doing something the governmwnt doesn't want to share with us. And whatever it is could be as benign as just testing out a new drone all the way up to the more terrifying rumor that they are trying to track down some type of WMD. However, I believe they are ours. The people that need to know that are aware that is the case and they have instructed the others to not worry about it.

The other possibilities are such a massive dereliction of duty that I don't find it plausible. If there was even a slight chance these were a foreign power's doing, we would be bringing them down.

Your Intelligence needs to be reassessed in regard to 76-1... His grandsons have not been read into the mission (although their use in augmenting your Quick Reaction Force is still under consideration)...

Consider your command compromised if your S-2 is feeding you incorrect intel in regard to 76-1... (although it could possibly just be a misunderstanding as to the QRF elements)...

IMO, This is honestly the best explanation I have seen so far. No conspiracy needed. Just a test run and see how far things could go before the public freaked out. It would give them an idea of how long they had to track and locate a WMD smuggled in by whomever before the public started asking questions. That gives them an idea on how much time they would have to react in a real life situation before having to spill the beans and create a panic.

That doesn't mean every sighting is wrong. It means many of them might be. Instead of thousands of strange sightings, it may be a handful. A handful is more likely to be explainable. If there are a thousand objects, things like prankster goes right out the window.

It could be the Feds, they needed to replace the black helicopter with something.

I was teasing Marv but social media really is a game changer.
