It is Guaranteed to scare the hell out of you and anyone else within a 300 foot radius (vertically or horizontally)... Now this one might Actually work...:
Tether multiple helium balloons to 1500+ feet of Kevlar or Dynema line (you can order it), and attach (choose your own) beneath it...
Once again I'd be a lot more specific but I'm too old and infirm to spend any significant time in the slammer fending off Bubba... A couple of throat punches would give me "yard cred" but my days would probably be numbered...

Take the PA Turnpike, fewer speed traps, they must figure it's so dangerous with the fog and ice in winter that the speed is self limiting... Just watch out for the deer..., then again you might be able to use those repurposed deer antlers as a projectile enhancement or just attach them beneath your balloons... 😎😉🍺

There are a bunch of boys down at the Old Hudson Plantation shooting venue in Sparta, GA who could likely take out these drones in a couple of hours. Would only cost a breakfast of biscuits and bourbon.

Hardly..., at one point a police helicopter was above one of those things in NJ...
I suppose the command element at Langley Air Force Base were all suffering from "mass hysteria" and shouldn't be considered competent observers...
The 47 foot Coast Guard Cutter who recently entered their being tracked by these drones in their official log aren't the type usually given to "mass hysteria"...
The government can blow all the smoke they want on this topic... Too many competent observers have reported them to be brushed off and ignored...
We need to get our sh-t together and figure this one out... The DOD is dropping the Ball in a major way if these really aren't "ours"... This should have been figured out and a policy put in place to deal with them (the drones) by night two at Langley AFB...
My guess (and that's all it is) is that (#1) our current shaky national (in)security team knows it's the Iranians and is scared to death they'll screw up a deal being worked for the Gaza hostages (thru Iran) by acting against the jokers running these ops against us... Either that or (#2) we currently have the most incompetent national security apparatuse in the history of the country...
At least the first one would just be a continuation of this current administrations incredibly poor judgment when dealing with Iran (whose leadership only understands various levels of Force)... The second one could be an even bigger problem...

I have yet to see a non-military drone the size of a Mini-Cooper or an SUV...; and I highly doubt the Coast Guard and Air Force personnel who have observed these drones were duped in the fashion you suggest but I actually would prefer your theory to be correct versus the other possibilities...
