Serious question for the board. I hear this a lot that we need to spend more money to support football or pay the big bucks for a new coach or just open the checkbook.
Do we have that kind of money available? It would seem to me that if we do someone along the way would have thought of spending it.
I do not know the state of the AD budget. I do hear that we spend a lot on BB. But that program is the flag ship. Do we steal some money from there for FB? How would supporters of that program, of which I am one, take it?
Maybe we need to close down the golf program. Would that be enough money to help football?
I know all of our ADs have been idiots but you'd think at least one of them would have thought about the spending more money angle if it is possible. Maybe this is more difficult than just "opening the checkbook"?
