Speaking of uniforms, why aren't we wearing Cream and Crimson?

Our uniforms now are more bright red and white than they are cream and crimson.

Crimson is a deeper, richer red, almost like a burgundy, and cream is kind of like, well cream. Those are the school's traditional colors, and when you see them on an old letter jacket, they look classy and traditional. From the pictures I've seen, I think the Rose Bowl team wore cream and crimson.

I agree about the red, and adidas is supposed to fix that as a part of our new contract. Cream, however, always looks yellow.

Sam Wyche tried cream/crimson. They looked pretty bad - as did his interlocked 'IU" streaming on helmets. The cream did not contrast well enough, making the numbers hard to identify from the press box.

Those were just about as bad as the lavender and orange uniforms of the WFL's Southern California Sun.

Here's the road uniform and helmet. It wasn't pretty

Wyche's ugly uniforms and helmets were only matched by the terrible Hoosiers in script at the 50 yard line. Or maybe it was the end zone. I have blocked it from my memory
