I blacklisted a PUke a couple of days ago and took out Fosterharper this evening. Future candidates are Fpeaugh, Aye U Hooz Yours, Gohoosiers1984Not and No Verticle. I wrote down all their IP addresses so if anyone who has been blacklisted returns with a new name I will take them out immediately. BTW the above named posters are all different people.

To really clean this board up I may have to blacklist or ban several people but I will only target those who are constantly negative, have only one topic that they keep beating on or have nothing of substance to add as far as discussion goes.

Before you start whining about 1st Amendment rights and democracy etc, there is nothing wrong with criticism, just make it constructive or intended to elicit discourse and don't be a broken record.

Lastly, this is a IU fan forum ... people are expected to wear blinders to some extent. If you want an IU bashing forum ... try GBI, they'll love you.

It is not about people disagreeing with others because that is part of talking sports. What people don't like is when people becomes demeaning and take shots at individuals. Some are very condescending and act like everyone is stupid besides themselves and they let you know it in every post.

I haven't even said anything derogatory about our favorite OC and haven't called him the G name since coming back from vacation. I even post polls so all people have to do is select a multiple choice answer so they don't have to be berated for creating a post on said opinion.

Thanks for your work. Being a moderator is no picnic. Some people can’t handle the gavel. You did fine.

I don’t mind talking smack with fans from opposing teams, even Pee Ewe, but the guys who know nothing and do Nothing but denigrate players and coaches, And just try to start fights, need to be sent packing. My analogy has always been “toss the drunk who ruins the neighborhood bar.”

These sites survive because they develop a community of folks who interact - not because of “breaking news”. If we can’t talk to each other civilly, it’s over.

I will give this side of the site a try now without all the flamers. I have no problem with different opinions but poster constantly being negative no matter the news got old.

Just use the ignore feature. If you've got a guy who you already know is just going to spew one of a of 3 variations of negative Nancy stuff, i.e., the AD sucks, the Coach sucks, the OC sucks... After you've read their venom a few times you just list them under Ignore..., and then all you have deal with is pu fans trying to pretend they're really just good guys who wouldn't run back to their board and bad mouth IU and all associated with it... The "death by a thousand cuts" type...

Now that EZ Rider is back I'm confident this board will be much more interesting and palatable...
