Oh man-

So close. They battled and that is all you can say. Wilson needed to call the time out there on second down. I think he was worried about leaving time on the clock. 5 yards there is huge. Our depth is getting there, but can't lose qb and Howard. I will say one thing in the past, this game ends up 48-20. These guys battled. You could see it on Eliiot's face after Diamont scored. He was like "really, they scored?"

Tough loss, but we Indian can beat PSU. Hopefully the injuries are week to week.

Wasn't stupid, he wanted to keep defense off-balance & not let OSU set...he trusted his guys

There was no reason to call time out there. We had three plays regardless. Letting the clock run made sure OSU had no time for a miracle if we had scored.

I thought they worked the clock very well at the end. OSU would have had no time to try anything if we'd scored.

Yep. Timeout would have been best. I was yelling for one, but they tried to rush and get a okay and ended up screwing themselves. Why not take that timeout and make sure you get the right play. 5 yards gives a lot of options compared to 10.

How do you know they didn't have the right play? Clock management worked out perfectly in the end. 9 seconds left for 4th and goal, one TO left if needed near the end of the play clock. Not a mistake. Just didn't make a play. Good showing in a huge spotlight.

We weren't rushing. That's the way we run our offense. The false start was just a mistake. Calling a TO would have allowed OSU to set their defense.

If you're not going to call a timeout, you can't run off tackle into the scrum for no gain and use 20 seconds of clock, no matter how much you want to not leave the other team with time You have to leave enough for yourself. We didn't score.

The last play was fourth down. We obviously had enough time.

The time strategy was correct...however on second down it was clear that the team was not ready...there was a bit if confusion and the timeout could have saved that penalty. It was unfortunate but he should have called it. But again the strategy was correct.
