Penalties - In a thread below, someone mentioned the impact of the Latham penalty on the game and I agree. In looking at IU penalties this season, we are ranked #113 in penalty yards per game. These penalties are killing us and often they are by our key players. The total yards don't worry me as much as the time in which they occur. I don't have any statistics but it always seems like it's a 3rd or 4th down one either side of the ball when we make the mistakes and give the opponent a first down or give us give ourselves a long way to go for a first down. And don't get me started on Wilson's 15 yard penalty yesterday.
Fant - He is doing a great job in man on man coverage as far as being right with his guy. But man, his tackling is poor
Hackenburg - He may have thrown for a decent amount of yards yesterday but he missed wide open guys so many times. I would take Sudfeld 10 out of 10 times over him.
Defense - Our defense played well enough yesterday for us to win if we had Sudfeld and Howard. I'm not saying the looked great, but they continue to get better.
Cameron - Looked so much more poised and accurate. Definitely a better short-term solution at QB. I can't believe we haven't been able to find a couple of Indiana kids to walk-on over the past two years that could have brought a bit more talent here though.
