But I also think he could be a possible Mike Gesicki-ish answer next year to what many perceive for us as a tight end issue.

I also have supreme confidence in CTA having done due diligence in sorting through his off-field issue (when red-shirting as a freshman at Mississippi State last year, arrested for fighting at a party).

Hardy was a little slower footed but also a couple inches taller in comparison; however, I get the idea. There is a lot of similarities in what they would provide at the WR spot. It's possible Heard recruited him and was familiar with the family while in Mississippi. I am a proponent of second chances when the situations warrant such things so like you said, I will leave that in the hands of the staff. Hopefully he is a good egg....

I edited my original post. He red shirted at Mississippi State last year, not Mississippi as I first wrote. Nonetheless, I think your point is valid that Coach Heard knew of him well.

He’s now at Hinds CC and will probably have several offers by the time he graduates in December. He was a 2016 late add to Mississippi State and did not have a Rivals Rating. He was expected to be in the mix this year. He’s definitely long and lanky:

Thanks for the correction on the year. Red shirted in 2016 and played last year at Mississippi State, as evidenced by the nice video highlights vs. Alabama.

Anyone have knowledge as to why he left MSU? Was it the arrest or something other?
