1. Does IU accept?
2. If offered, do they host a game in Assembly Hall?
3. If so, will there be 5,000 people in the building?
4. If they don’t host, will Fred Glass be able to withstand the heat of declining an invitation to host?
5. If they accept an invitation, will Langford play? Will Morgan?
6. Would anyone blame them if they chose not to suit up?

RL & JM signed up to play this season. Of course, they will honor their commitment to the school, the coaches and their teammates.

They’re already printing the 2018-2019 Showed Some Heart Banner. Maybe a Rebuild in Process banner as well.

All bluebloods have to play in the nit from time to time. We were there just 6 years ago, and lost to Robert Morris. It’s embarrassing, but it will get better

Why wouldn't Morgan play? He's not getting drafted. It's G league or overseas for him.

What we need is one of those DHL Most Valuable Client banners. Do they hang those out in the open at Rupp, or are those in the locker room?

We have already seen that an athlete does not have to get drafted to have an NBA career. So, he has a chance to play in the NBA even if you are correct and he doesn't get drafted.

Agreed, my point is he still needs to build his resume so sitting out the NIT wouldn't make sense. Everything he does from here on out is a tryout. Langford doesn't need to tryout anymore because of his potential. That said, I wouldn't draft him in a million years but some moronic NBA GM will. Langford couldn't hold OG Anunoby's jock. Langford constantly went missing when it mattered most this year.

There could be some advantages to playing in the NIT. A deep run could lead to success in the Big Dance next year. There's been more than one school that won the NITZ and used that as a springboard to win the NCAA the next year. Last team that I recall doing it was UNC a few years back, Syracuse before that, though I might be wrong on 'Cuse, might have been another BE team.

We got to the final of the NIT in 85 and in 87 won the NCAA. I can see your point. I say play the game. But play it to win it. Don't let this be another Georgia Tech game where we just didn't show up.

They should bet an NIT bid. I expect every player to want to win.

Our women's team won the NIT last year. If you are going to be in the tournament, play to win it. We should show up to watch them. Depending on the schedule, I'll come up. I am sure my son will be there unless the game would be on a Monday night.

What if they only played players that are coming back next year. I see development opportunity there. Otherwise, not interested

Penny State won the NIT last year and look how it spring boarded them to this year. Oh yea.

Maybe we can make the NIT final four just like Western Kentucky, Utah and Mississippi State did last year. Total springboard to the NCAA's for all those teams. NOT

if anyone on the team chooses not to play in the NIT for fears of endangering their future opportunities, send them the bill for 2nd semester tuition and room n board, and cut them loose now. If they really wanted to play in the big boy tourney they sure didn't seem too concerned when the game started yesterday. If Phin hadn't hit those shots against Butler and LVille, the season may have ended yesterday.

This team won't be winning the NIT. We've seen how they play when they're not jacked up and it's not good. They won't be jacked to play in the NIT. Expect a team looking like they just want to go home. But I'd say, yeah, go ahead and accept it, let everybody play in front of an empty house and let the inevitable happen.

NIT is better than what IU was facing 6 games ago. Play and win some more games.
