Sherron Wilkerson

Madison dropped the ball there. Standard 'parents who know better' ran him off.
Ah, yeah, I haven't followed his recent history so didn't know where he was prior. And yes, parents that know better are out there, most of which have enough skeletons to fill many closets themselves.

In this woke day and age knight would be fired for that. They would likely proclaim also that Knight is a racist and did it on purpose.
Man hasn't butted heads since the daze of Cro-magnon man not knowing any better. Centralized thickening of the frontal bone has been found in what few skulls have been unearthed. It is believed to have been used as an early means of getting another one's attention only when loud grunting didn't seem to work.

Or woman Cro-magnon used blunt club to get his attention?

I started at IU the same year as Sherron-1993. Everyone was so excited thinking him and Steve Hart were our back court of the future. And Richard Mandeville and Robbie Eggers would hold down the inside. Yeah that all worked out great.
Robbie Eggers did more for us than Richard "I'm not a Dick" Mandeville.

That’s been the standard at Madison for years. By the time I hit HS there in early 00’s, most of the team was filled with the “town names” that hadn’t gotten any better since 6th grade. There were a number of guys in the halls that would have played TEAM ball that could have easily replaced those guys.

The Hystetics have an interview podcast from a couple years ago with Sherron. I came in with a negative opinion, listened to him talk (and yes, he took responsibilities for his transgressions) and by the end I concluded we need more people like him. Really worth the time for me.

My teammate in high school coached at Madison. He really enjoyed it.

in today's climate, RMK wouldn't have survived the leather whip incident. RMK would not have been coaching us vs Duke in the FF and Ted Valentine might have called a fair game.

I believe Knight was a coaching genius, but don’t miss how he evolved into a caricature of himself with his behavior.

Not sure I buy the Pat Knight excuse but I do think with Wilkerson he wanted to get in his face up close as he could but don't think he intentionally head butted him. Sherron has always maintained the same. Part of what made him such a great winner was also part of his demise.

Coaches just can't get out of Logansport soon enough I guess. When the Berries hire their new coach, he'll be the 4th coach they've had since the 2018-19 season.

No one likes taking extra time dealing with dingleberries when you're already late for work. You're twisting them off with a yank of your fingers before packing your bags to get out of Logansport, no thanks from the Berries. The only thing worse is pulling out a stubborn nose hair...makes the eyes water before the infection works it's way to the brain.

It was an obvious accident.

I had a post deleted on this thread that had something to do with monkey pox.... I don't even remember what I said. In general I stay away from controversial statements. Could someone clarify to me what it takes to get a post deleted and if anyone remembers what I said please remind me as I'll try to refrain from repeating the same mistake
