she so wrong

Well if Kurt is correct and this is fairly recent news, it makes me think we moved on from BS a while ago.
It’s been mentioned repeatedly on this board that today is a deadline for Stevens’ decision.

Reading between the lines of Kurt’s gibberish, I think IU had Beard in the bag as a backup, but now that’s nixed. Which means tonight’s the night. Stevens or bust.

Come on people. Whitten is just now weighing in on Beard. No chance.

get a coach, I get the concern, but what are the odds he screws up again, not even sure he ever did, whatever
Come on Kurt and just relax. I’m literally in St Lucia now. They all say “ no problem man” but not as much as in Jamaica
I understand your frustration. Everything is going to be good. If Dolson and Whitten decide what is best for ALL OF IU, then I hope we can meet up in the future and say
“Boom”.

That doesn’t contradict anything I’ve pieced together in my previous post, though. Both things going on at the same time, is how it sounds.
“IU had Beard in the bag as a back up, now that’s nixed…”

Doesn’t make any sense. In no world was Beard anywhere near any bags without Whittens approval. So there’s no way she’s just weighing in now to nix it.

Tell it to Kurt. I’m not the one reporting this. The info obviously just broke, he’s just reporting it now. Yesterday he said it was Beard.

If the Kent Sterling video is accurate and IU already has their guy, then it's pretty safe to assume Dolson did all of the back channeling before announcing Woodson's retirement and is way ahead on the media. If that's the case, all of these "sources" and "insiders" are just made up theories and we won't hear any real, accurate news until after our season ends and our targets season ends. Those that are in the know don't talk

they don't have their guy now; everyone can say I'm full of shit that's fine. people were told make a call, ill back it, she/they either felt pressure from others or maybe themselves to nix it

Hopefully she has another epiphany and reconsiders soon. Beard has been my favorite college coach since his Texas Tech days.

A backup option that seems to be really interesting is Vandy's Mark Byington. You have to be a pretty smart coach to have the success that he has had.

Kurt, I agree that they don’t have OUR guy yet. I am in on your passion. I’m assuming Dolson and Whitten will decide what’s best for ALL of IU.

I hope Sterling is right, and they do have their man. And that he’s currently having a successful college season somewhere. And that the agreement is done in principle, just waiting for both teams to be done with their respective seasons.

I love that thought, but don’t think it’s a real thing at this time. Wouldn’t think any coach would go out that far and say “I’m in” at this point( that is active coaches). And I wouldn’t want them to be either, if the we’re possibly interested in IU.

Don’t confuse “say” with do.

I’m assuming many coaches would say to IU that they would jump at the chance to coach IU, even if they would never do it. And, I’m pretty confident that IU has been guilty of wishful thinking in the past. Everyone wants to believe what they hear.

I sure hope that either you or your “source” are full of shit. Not because I want Chris Beard to get the job, even though I do, but because if this is really the way the process has gone so far this is complete incompetence and dysfunction.

I am sick and tired of people talking about basketball as a qualifying factor for the new coach. The only thing that matters is checking the inclusion boxes. Stop it!

You honestly think they went all the way to having a verbal agreement without involving her?
