Shame on the athletic department for how they handled the FB game today.

I'm absolutely appalled.

Screw the score - Indiana was in that game, and really should have won it if they could defend a damn third and long. Anyone who expected a result today was stupid, but that game wasn't the blowout the score indicated.

I'm talking about the AD. They made a special effort today to avoid acknowledging that the Football game existed.

They:
  1. Chose to start Hoosier Hysteria at a time that was guaranteed to conflict with Q4 of the football game
  2. Refused to show the game on the screen at Assembly Hall, despite receiving interest from fans of both sports (They do exist, you know.)
  3. Quit tweeting about the game entirely somewhere in the third quarter, instead tweeting the same picture of people standing in line in the rain for two hours (when, you know, they could be watching IU compete against a top ten, undefeated MSU team.)
It's not just marketing. It's an acknowledgement that they've given up on this team, and it's disgusting.

If you wanted a sign that Kevin Wilson is a dead man walking, there's your sign. I almost want him to beat Iowa, Maryland, and Purdue to get to seven wins, not for the bowl -- just to see Fred Glass eat his jockstrap trying to beg Wilson to stay. I'm embarrassed.

This AD doesn't deserve to be good at football. They deserve exactly what they've gotten this year, and they deserve the rebuilding BS they'll deal with after they kick Wilson to the curb.
