Season outlook!

We do not know how IU will respond in close games and/or vs tough defenses. But having said that, the balance is good, the depth is great, and scoring seems less of an issue thus far because ball movement has been a lot better.
Before the season, I believe I said 11-9 and 20-10. But there is one additional game, so I say 21-10, 11-9.

I was curious how everyone thinks this team will do? Overall record and big ten record?
I never bought into the gloomy outlook for this season. Nothing has changed my mind.

Durham, Thompson, and Smith are playing much better than last year. TJD is better than I expected he would be to start the season. We haven't seen our expected starting guards together on the floor yet.

I am mildly disappointed Davis is the last front court player off the bench. The good news is others have earned playing time and he will still help the team.

I like what I see so far and there is room for improvement

23-8 and 6th seed with the caveat that I wouldn't actually bet a nickel on that prediction yet until we play a school I can find on the map. And assuming key pcs stay healthy. Of all the players we could not afford to lose for long stretches (like last yr) I think TJD staying healthy is enormous for this team. Overall I like the way they are playing together and just solidifies what I still believe, that there was a serious chemistry issue with the team last year, that no longer exists.

If healthy..Better than every magazine prediction.
iubud..Mildly disappointed in Davis ?
It's been day one for me..Just think if we had a 6'10 power forward with skills and hops..

regardless of the level of competition to this point, the FT line is 15' from the basket in every game (Coach Dale confirmed this in Hoosiers). After 4 games we are hitting almost 75%. TJD a big factor in that (pretty solid for a freshman big). If we can stay above 70% this season we'll win those 5-6 games we lost at the line last year.

Gotta give some praise to Anderson...I saw nothing in him last yr, wouldn't have surprised me if he had transferred....and although defense is still work in process, must admit I have been surprised..actually stunned...at the progress he's shown.

Also good job by Race....2nd leading rebounder on the team, coming off the bench. He'll never be a flashy scorer, but love the way he's going after it on the boards.

Cake walk is over soon, then real games begin. then we'll know.

I'm thinking 23 wins with as high as 13-7 in the big10, between 4th and 7th place in conference

We are going to get a really good look at how much the team has improved/ will need to improve after the December OOC games.

The biggest thing I see is depth. We have more situational players. That usually translates into more wins. I like everything I’m seeing so far. I see at least 20 wins.
