As a Boston fan I had always wanted Schwarber to play there. I just wish Travis and Hart had worked out better.
Travis signed a minor league contract with the Mariners, but that is all I know about him right now.
I just saw an article where it indicates that the Red Sox are going to try him out at first base which is a big change from playing left field or DHing. Maybe he saw a little bit of time there in high school.

From reports I have read it appears the only time Schwarber played first base was for one batter in a game where they played extra infielders. It is surprising that he doesn't have experience there, but I would think he could handle it.
