1.) Alabama has a better pool of 5 star kids to draw from than we do

2.) The Big Ten does not provide us enough competition to prepare for Alabama

3.) We lost a lot to the NFL last year

4.) We did not play enough games to fine tune our offense, defense and special teams

5.) We were banged-up in key spots, or it would have been different

The basketball gods cursed OSU because the B1G changed the rules and kept IU out of the B1G Championship Game. That is what happened.

6) "Our secondary hasn't been the same since the IU game"

IU destroyed several teams by beating them this year and they didn't recover. Not only did Penix damage OSU but so did the 3 star QB at Alabama. Both of these QBs show that stars don't matter so much as real talent does.

To be fair Ahia had to overcome unbelievable hurdles and hardships this season. Strange schedule, BIG rules stacked against them, covid, no fans, testing.

The fact that they got to the championship game with all these obstacles is both amazing and heart warming. Profiles in courage.

This year Wade wasn't even in the top 4 of B1G corners based on performance. SI did a comparison of his 2019 and 2020 season, he really tailed off this past season. It cheated out better corners because writers and coaches favored an OSU player or based it on his previous year. IU had two or even a third one that played better this year than Wade did.

Every time I saw OSU play, Wade was not only frequently burned, but opposing coaches had game plans that had their QB throwing AT him. If he was so good, wouldn't opposing teams throw to the other CB's side. No one seemed particularly afraid of him.
