Saalfrank, maybe because of the pressure of the situation, had a shaky 1st inning and was fortunate to give up just one run in that inning, leaving the bases loaded. The Rutgers pitcher kept IU off-balance with a lot of breaking balls, but IU got to him in the 4th, scoring six runs and forcing Rutgers to go to the bullpen.

In the 5th, Saalfrank gave up a two-out, two-strike homer with a man on as Rutgers cuts the deficit in half. IU batting in the 5th.

In the 5th, Barr got those two runs back with a one-out, two-run homer as IU leads 8-3. IU now has 90 homers on the season as they continue to add to their record total. Rutgers batting in the 6th.

IU batting in the 7th and are six outs from winning the B1G title.

In the 7th, IU loaded the bases with no outs forcing another pitching change for RU. A force out at the plate in a close call, and a FC scored a run, then Richardson brought in another run on a single. It's IU 10-3, with Rutgers batting in the 8th.

In the 8th, IU loads the bases with one out, and a hit batter brings in a run. A WP and a SF bring in two more runs as IU leads 13-3 with Rutgers batting in the 9th. We are three outs away from the title. Bierman stays in there to close it out.
