That's what I yelled as we took over the ball at about midfield with 8:21 to go and a 7pt lead.
We got a little cute, tried some misdirection, ended up with an on-the-run overthrow to the TE that gained us nothing AND stopped the clock.
2nd down, we THEN run off tackle and get little or nothing.
Fail to convert on 3rd and long....punt the ball back to them for a chance to drive and tie it.
All went back to the first down call, so I screamed out again about how 3 and out started with a lousy play call on 1st down. A Holiday Bowl former player called me out about it and asked why I wasn't the damned OC if I was so smart. Another Holiday Bowl player a few seats over looked at me and winked and said 'I agree with you'.
We've got some studs up front and some horses in the backfield. I want to run the damned ball in that situation, even if they might know/think it's coming!!!
Had fun at the game. Weather couldn't have been better for Sept 12th.
