Rumor: Friend Coming home to coach

So Allen is aware that Hiller is a pisspoor O-line coach and can't be trusted to field anything close to a competitive unit up front. Good lord, I don't care if CTA and Hiller were brothers, you don't hire and fire people based on your personal relationship with them, fire Hiller and replace him with a real O-line coach instead of bringing in a DII coach to fix the problem.

He will run quality control for the offense.

Friend spent the past year as the offensive line coach at Minot State

I love his returning... Can only help...

I'm surprised we haven't brought in new GA with a strong OL background... Maybe we have but I haven't read about it...

My biggest concern is if we have the right guys running Summer conditioning and skills practice...

While most of that leadership should fall on the players themselves..., it's up to the Strength & Conditioning guys to structure and oversee things...

Seemed like whoever ran that last summer on the Offensive side struck out in a big way... Hopefully, they've rotated that job to someone else, or whoever ran it last year learned something from from last summers massive failure on the O side and is going to do things much better this time around...

You and the rest of us don't know the whole story about why coach Hiller is still on the staff. It could very well be a money issue due to his contract, lack of quality OL coaches to bring in, or something other than coach's relationship with coach Hiller.

There is always a lack of quality OL coaches to bring in when you don't actually see who's on the open market. Either it's money or those two's relationship, both are inexcusable and an utter embarrassment for a school that "is trying to take FB seriously".

I have no clue how that is your conclusion from this.

I agree with you it isn't a good look for IUFB but speculating why coach Hiller is still on the staff just means we don't know the real reasons why. There are more possibilities than the binary you are creating with your comment " either it is....
