Romeo injuried for most of the season

Should of stayed game is not ready probably a 10-15 pick could be very good if he can improve three point shot.
ready for what? It’s not about being ready to contribute, it’s about being ready to be drafted in the position he is comfortable with. He can get drafted and work on his game and learn the NBA game with NBA players and NBA coaches while making millions ..or he can go back, practice with college players and college coaches and make zero dollars. Which sounds like the logical choice?

Not so fast my friend if he improved his game and can be a top 3 pick he could make 4 times as much money in his rookie deal...

You're looking at this all wrong. The money difference between a rookie deal in the top 5 and rookie deal in the 10-15 range is only a few million a year. He's also going to get endorsements and a shoe deal, which equals more money. On top of all of that, he's starting his clock to get his 2nd contract and that's the one where he'll really get paid. Then he'll get another big deal for his 3rd contract. Coming back to IU isn't guaranteed to raise his draft stock either. We can all assume that it will, but that's a big assumption. Had he been able to go pro straight out of HS then he'd have been a top 5 pick LAST year.

Romeo was the main reason this season was a failure. Blame his thumb, his 3 point shooting % or whatever you want. Fact is he was the main reason we were what we were.

They keep banning me, Ill keep making free accounts and not pay for it! Cant wait to see the manager of this sight in public.

Cavanagh.456? bring it bitches

@Southside Hoosier Fan need that 50 spot.

He had torn ligaments. Here comes the ban-hammer on this username. You're a total twat. Speaking of seeing people in public, feel free to come out of your mommy's basement and you can get what you deserve.

We have a winner . . .

this news should surprise no one. Too bad his legacy at IU will be difficult to remember in a few yrs. Vonleh 2.0. OADs aren't getting this program back to where we all want it to be.

I see your bitch ass is back with another about to banned username. Nothing reeks of a basement dwelling momma's boy more than what you're doing here. Keep it up chump. I'm not old, but I do love me some Grateful Dead. I was actually too young to ever see them play live. Got to go to Dead 50 though. Pretty sweet watching Trey play Jerry.

Romeo reminds a lot of a smaller Kawhi. Brings a lot of athleticism and has a lot of skills that need polished with practice and repetition. His lateral agility seems elite to me for an NBA defensive player. If Romeo brings the work ethic and is for the most part healthy for his NBA career, he should be a really good pro. Other than rebounding, did anybody know when drafted that Kawhi would become the NBA player he currently is. Well maybe Pop knew.

Last year's draft was really strong and deep. Actually so was 2 years ago. I think Romeo can be really good but he was not going top 5 last year based on his High school career.

Personally, I thought Langford was one of the most over-rated players ever to come thru Assembly Hall and you could pretty much tell most of the season, he was "saving" himself for the draft and didn't care one way or the other of how this team fared thru out the season.
Had very little heart, can't wait to see him depart, and good riddance.

All the best to Romeo and I hope the NBA works great for him.

I rewatched his McDonalds All Star game. The announcers went on and on about his shooting being able to stretch the defense. The link below is an article about the game and he went 3/8 on threes. I remember someone here mentioned that he looked good shooting threes his junior year. I saw one of his games as a senior and he was going to the basket and not shooting 3’s. Maybe his hand injury did have a significant impact on his shooting this season. I thought his shot mechanics looked pretty good in the McDonald’s game.

When I think of hand injuries I think of Bird after his senior year and before reporting to the celts. He seriously screwed the a finger on his right hand in a softball game and apparently the quality of care he received in Terre Haute was questionable. The damage was permanent but he had a heck of a career in spite of the injury.

I seriously hope it all turns out well for Romeo. I have no way of determining if any truth to the girlfriend rumors but if true just need to chalk it up to a mistake of youth and hope he learned you don’t do that to a teammate. I just remembered the rumors about Chris Birdman Anderson and Lebron James’ mother. That was a head scratcher.

You mean a torn ligament in your wrist will impact your shooting?

No idea what his injury was or if it had an impact on his shooting this past season. I stated that maybe it did impact his shooting because previously his shot from behind the line wasn’t as bad as it was this last season.

I also posted the below in a different thread-

Atthe end of Tracy McGradys time in Houston hisnever that good FG% dived. He was taking heat for poor play. He started talking about a shoulder injury and wore a big pad on the front of his right shoulder. After the season he had shoulder “surgery” and I had a labrum repair done at the same practice. I was talking to the surgeon about Tracy and told me they went in and looked at his shoulder and didn’t find anything wrong and so did nothing. The next season Tracy wasn’t wearing the pad.

Another genius sockpuppet.

Romeo Langford got Indiana to the NIT which is more than Noah Vonleh did. But he was no Eric Gordon. Collectively they never won a single game in the NCAA tournament.

In Eric Gordon’s defense he said the team fell apart at the end of the season because of player drug use.

Here’s hoping Archie Miller can find some quality student athletes who can shoot threes.

Good luck to Romeo. Wish he and his family well. Getting Watford would give me hope for next season.
