I don't think it's a big stretch. He's already good defensively and IU will be a good defensive team. It wouldn't be a huge surprise if he's recognized as one of the best defensive guards in the conference.

I don't recall how they vote for that team. If it's one player per position. Xavier Simpson will most likely be the PG. If it's five best or ten best, Phin has a really good chance.
