Legendary center fielder Mays dies at age 93
Legendary center fielder Willie Mays died Tuesday afternoon at the age of 93.

It is sad to see that the Say Hey Kid has passed. It will be 70 years ago this fall when he made THE CATCH, robbing my hero, Vic Wertz, of an extra base hit that might have swung the series to the Indians. I cried watching that play and a tear welled up when I read he had passed. I was 7 then, never saw Josh Gibson, Ruth, Cobb, Speaker, etc., but in the 70 years I have followed the game no one has been a more complete player IMO. An American treasure who will be remembered fondly.
