His shootout with Pavy at the old Church Street Gym is still the stuff of legends here in New Castle.

I remember him from high school when he and Ray Pavy had their duels. I watched him score (I believe it was 56) at IU from long range in 1963. He was the predecessor to Mount. RIP Jimmy Rayl.
