You would have to watch the Nebraska Wisconsin game to believe it. Verge kid got a T for staring at an official after he got fouled and no call. Wisconsin player dives on a player and no call. Hard foul by Nebraska player given T2 and kicked. Of course W players don’t foul. 9-1 fouls.

Didn't even really stare at him... he just gave a look back at him. Ridiculously bad call. I thought the F2 call was just as bad. By rule yes you have to give a F1, but there was no intent. In fact it was pretty clear that his intent was to stop himself from swinging down. And those 9-1 fouls were in the first 4 minutes of the second half.
I have said for years that I think B1G officials hurt B1G teams once it comes to tourney time.
One call that also sticks out was where one ref changed his call from O foul to blocking when another one came from across the court and had him change it. The kid was set and replay showed he was out of the restricted zone. Even Hummel was amazed. And then no foul for jumping on the N player in that scrum.
Just shows how pedestrian Bucky is w/o Johnny Davis. They may lose at home with the B1G title on the line.

Refereeing for the B1G women's final isn't much better. IU women getting hosed by the refs with a bunch of phantom BS calls!

One that I couldn’t figure out is when Clark hit Hillary in the face with an elbow and only a personal foul was called. By rule I thought it should have been a T.

B10 refs are the biggest concern for all the bball conspiracy theorist! I dont think the current B10 heads like IU at all! Seems like IU has been getting the short end of the stick for awhile! I can think of atleast 5 games this season where IU seemed to get hosed by refs! Yea, IU isnt good enough to cancel out those bad calls and have been poor in closing out games, but Officials seem to consistenly make the wrong calls even with the replay system! IU football has been on the wrong side of calls too it seems forever! Especially after getting screwed royally during the Covid year!

I don't think IU has gotten terrible treatment overall. Sat was not good but again we made our own luck all season.
That said, as others have said here...the officiating in league puts BIG teams at a disadvantage in the tourney. The WWE stuff won't fly.
I don't know about leading the charge, but any conversation with fans of other schools has an agreement somewhere in there about how horrible the officiating is. It's usually about the inconsistencies.
I do believe the replay process is a negative to officiating credibility. Get rid of it and make the individual refs earn credibility. Cream rises, throw the poor 1's downhill a conference or 2 to work their way back. Also this flagrant 1 or 2 creates another decision to be made hindering the game. Go back to tech. only. Make intentional a judgment call not decided by a video replay. The longer teams stand around for a decision the more respect officials lose. KISS!
I completely agree. Had the exact conversation about just Technials cs Flagrants the other day with several people. Unanimously every thought Flagrants were poorly executed and confusing. Those should go away immediately.

Just another thought.... maybe if the B1G would clamp down on the WWE/Sandlot style of play.... and tell the teams to clean it up..... we wouldn't have all the F1 - F2 decisions by the Refs.
How about next season.... we play the first two games of the season.... with all the starters on the bench from being fouled out, until they can set the tone for the season.
It would definitely be a learning curve, for the team and the refs to start out with... but both would get the knack of it soon enough.

There have been many times calls went against the Hoosiers ... but there have also been many instances that made me say, "IU got away with one there." In the end, I think s****y calls essentially even out over the course of a season.
