The greatest sports spectacle has begun as Conference tournaments are underway, B1G starts today, IU has a "must-win" game vs Oregon Thursday. Virtually all of the chatter regarding IU's coaching search is just rumors being floated. We look at Chris Collins as an option, Junior Bridgeman played on what is considered the greatest Indiana HS team ever.

Junior Bridgeman is one of the best examples of somebody using a modestly successful pro sports career as a springboard into a massively successful business career. Maybe the best example.

He never made a whole lot in the NBA - maybe a couple hundred thousand a year. But he started into Wendy’s franchises back then, maybe while he was still playing.

He ended up as the largest franchisee in the country. I think his net worth isn’t far off from $1B today.

Some of the names these so called "experts" are coming up with are pitiful.

Oh gosh, I just saw where Junior passed away. I guess that explains why he was discussed on the show.

Sad deal. Love what he did with his life. RIP

If we end up with Chris Collins we'll know we've been turned down by a whole lot of people.
If someone like him ends up being the choice...I'd be picturing Dolson and a buddy sitting in his office with index cards strewn all over the place.

"Collins would probably take it... he's got a pulse. He smelled Coach K's farts."

"Get him on the phone."

Good coach who's still alive ✅️. Of course the media would connect him to IU.

It's comical at this point.

I haven't researched CC very closely but he has definitely done what I didn't think anyone could do at NW. NW has to be one of the toughest place to recruit in P5. He has also found a few high school diamonds in the rough from Indiana. I'd put him in the Brownell tier.

I think he is a way better coach than many of you give him credit for. Lost 2 of his best players this year and still played smart tough BB. Love his offensive flow and the team unity they always have.
Give him a better situation and I think he would excel. That being said I think he loves being in the Chicago gig.
