A wild couple of weeks has given new life to the team.
Currently sitting at 19 in NET rankings.
2-5 Q1
3-1 Q2
Unfortunately, only Illinois is a Q1 win as we're still majorly lacking there. Of the top 20 NET teams, only St Marys, Fla Atlantic and Creighton have 2 or less Q1 wins at this point.
Looking at wins that could move up and UNC is still hovering in the mid 30s and thats still the best bet. MSU is in the 40s, Wisconsin in the 60s, so seems really unlikely for either of them but MSU has a chance.
We'll have plenty of upcoming chances, though. On the flip side, Wed. game against Minn is really the last chance for a bad loss as that would be Q3. Need to avoid that. Minn is not good but they have played several teams close lately and its at the Barn. Last year there we won in a weird game where we lead by 27 with 8 minutes to go and then slipped out with a 5 point win. Really need to win this one to keep momentum.
We follow Minn with 4 straight Q1 games and almost the entire rest of the schedule with either be Q1 or a borderline Q1 game). So, as long as we continue to play well we should start picking some more of these ups.
Next 4 after Minn:
OSU (borderline, and with how they're playing they are likely to drop to a Q2)

In KenPom we sit at 20th. Last year at this time we were 28th with a 5-3 conference record fresh off beating Purdue. We then lost 6 of our next 8. Need to avoid that this year.
