We win! Yeah!
- Whole lot to work on before week 2, obviously
- I think our offense at this point is better than week 1 last year. Nobody's as good as Wynn but we've got some more WR/TE options and while we had a few drops, much better than last year. Howard's an absolute stud and Redding is good when he isn't running horizontally. Think Howard is the #1 clear guy. O-Line did well and Nate had all day to throw most times and we had some good holes rushing it.
- We still have trouble where drives will get bogged down and we get behind the chains. Guess it happens to everyone.
- Oakes is great. Pretty much all the other special teams stuff need some work. Had a good return on a punt and a punt downed on the 5, but no real other highlights. Punt block was a killer.
- D needs major work. Getting Latham, Scales, and Big Ralph back will help. Hopefully Fant, Dutra, and Oliver can all get back. Way too many big plays given up and that needs to get cleaned up asap. That unit did improve as the year went on last year so we have to hope they improve a lot by next week.
- I think SIU is improved from last year. Bad matchup for us considering how young our secondary is with all their misdirection stuff. Luckily they didn't play a perfect game in week 1 or it would have been a 2-TD win for them.
