Knowledgeable people on formations and strategy..... If you normally run a very direct (long ball) style of play in a 4-4-2 formation and you have a star forward on your team that lately has been getting man marked with at least 1 to 2 more players staying in his general area (5-10 yards away regardless of where the ball is) what changes would you make?? This is High School soccer by the way. I suggest switching to a 4-3-3 to at least drag 1 of the 2-3 players away from the star player....also the team doesn't have a great center mid to control the game either...thoughts??
