This summer, after watching numerous Olympic events (in places with closed captions on the TV), numerous Preseason NFL games (in places with closed captions on the TV) and several auto racing events (in places with closed captions on the TV), I have this question for the digital geeks:
How can the closed captions on numerous different broadcast systems and networks for many different athletic events repeatedly display the same apparent "garble": i.e. "ORDniah"?
It doesn't seem likely that "ORDniah" is the only electronic garble generated by signal deficiencies or interruptions. Does it have some other significance?
