I've been a fan forever, went to every home game in 75-76, and the struggles since about 91-92 season are legendary. I've looked at but not studied the rest of the schedule, but we all know it is brutal and especially so with terrible play. We're not going to win the BTT (never have, no reason to think we have any chance this year), so waiting until mid-February is way too late.
Is there any way we can get to 20 wins? Not sure if that would do it or not, but finding 8 more wins on the schedule would be a big turn-around from where we are right now (12-7, 3-5). We have 12 games remaining plus the BTT (so, at least 13 games left). Go 8-4 from here, end at 20-11, I say we're in. 18-13 with a quick out of BTT, we're probably out. I am not sure there is much value in the NIT, so for me it's NCAAT or bust.
I know we are all in the dumper right now with a 5 game losing streak and facing UM tomorrow night, but I don't want to throw in the towel just yet (I'm getting too old). With the problems right now, what a boost a win tomorrow night would do.
