Definitely not a home run. Fired at Mizzou. Good at UNLV. Defensive coach.
Can match UNLV's NIL promise non-payment to QB Sluka just fine at Purdue. Good choice. He understands the terrain.

I hope he does decent. I don't wish bad on anyone. Just do no better than mid, and always lose to Indiana is all I ask. Be good enough to knock off teams when it helps IU . Be of some use.
He did have UNLV playing pretty well.

Think I read where UNLV is one of the oldest teams in the country, more so than IU. Believe all but 4-5 of their starters are seniors and the best one with eligibility remaining is a projected 2nd day pick.Much will depend on who he's able to bring with him...If his OC decides to stay at UNLV (as their next HC) and is able to keep their QB and the bulk of their current team out there rather than following Odom to p u, their road to recovery (from 1 W to 3) will be much more rocky than they expect it to be...
You sound like an unstable person. You don't wish bad on Purdue footbal?!I hope he does decent. I don't wish bad on anyone. Just do no better than mid, and always lose to Indiana is all I ask. Be good enough to knock off teams when it helps IU . Be of some use.

There are tons of examples of mid major success and P5 “meh.” This kind of looks like that. A Scott Frost perhaps. (Who just went back to UCF)Damn. I was wrong. Wouldn’t think he would leave. Hate to say it, this is a great hire. Is he bringing his staff?
Some people start getting soft in their old age. Purdue is the worst. Always hope for the worst.I hope he does decent. I don't wish bad on anyone. Just do no better than mid, and always lose to Indiana is all I ask. Be good enough to knock off teams when it helps IU . Be of some use.

Be interesting to see if he brings his OC who believe is in consideration for UNLV’s now open HC vacancy.
Definitely better than Tyson Helton whom I was convinced they were hiring. Just happy it’s not Jeff Monken.Seems like a solid hire for PU.
Agreed and they are going to have to pony up to bring him. Would guess he’s one of the hottest coordinator commodities in the country assuming UNLV doesn’t retain him.If he doesn't bring his OC with him it's anothing hire, in my opinion...
You can find the right coach though like IU did as you hire from mid major. There are tons of examples of mid major success and P5 “meh.” This kind of looks like that. A Scott Frost perhaps. (Who just went back to UCF)
OK, so Purdue plays Notre Dame. Who am I supposed to root for?
Cig had way more than 2 years. It was a book at that point. Teams like Purdue and IU need X’s and O’s more because the Jimmy’s and Joe’s will never be there. You can find the right coach though like IU did as you hire from mid major.
Yeah you think Purdue is throwing well wishes to Btown.Always wish the worst for purdue football. They deserve it.
This is where I stand. They want us to lose every game and they obviously like chanting about us every home game. 0-12 is my ideal PU record with a bucket blowout. This year was near perfect in terms of their season. Some people start getting soft in their old age. Purdue is the worst. Always hope for the worst.
It's a great hire? He just reneged on his starting QB's NIL deal, and he couldn't hack it at Missouri.Damn. I was wrong. Wouldn’t think he would leave. Hate to say it, this is a great hire. Is he bringing his staff?
I don’t. I hope he fails miserably and they contemplate removing Purdue from the conference. And someone lights Purdue Pete on fire and watch him flail around with the big big eyes still wide as he’s engulfed in flames.I hope he does decent. I don't wish bad on anyone. Just do no better than mid, and always lose to Indiana is all I ask. Be good enough to knock off teams when it helps IU . Be of some use.

This is a mid level higher at best.Damn. I was wrong. Wouldn’t think he would leave. Hate to say it, this is a great hire. Is he bringing his staff?
I’m going to take the hire ground on this. This is a mid level higher at best.
I hear that Purdue fans have indicated that Odom will be taking over the conference and he is HOF material and will sign a top-10 class this year with only a few weeks to recruit. Also, Matthew Sluka is heading to Purdue with promises of a $10 million NIL deal. Purdue has over $2.5 billion sitting in an untapped NIL fund. Oh, and Pedophile Pete never touched any of those kids and it was a fabricated story. My brother in law is a Mizzou grad and avid fan. His take is that Odom is a very good coach but struggled at Mizzou following Gary Pickel. He was in his late 30’s and a first time head coach. Sounds like PU made a good hire, especially if he brings his staff and key payers. Rats!
Hired the SC OC. Josh Hensen.Has he hired anyone???
