After Hackenberging not one but TWO QBs, Hazell moves onto David Blough. 3rd time is a charm. He is up for a tall task this week, trying to keep pace with a BGSU team that is putting up points like nobody's business.

I saw they brought the Robinson kid back after a two game suspension for DUI and second alcohol offense violating his diversion program. We all learned the msg that sends to the team.

New QB next week should really help matters.

Hmmm....I think I remember our resident Boiler fan saying a new QB would not happen this week.

3-Peat, Bucket in Bloomington, Not since the Civil War...................

I actually know the kid a bit from covering him in HS. nothing like his dad and he certainly isn't a bad kid...very respectful yes sir etc...was surprised and disappointed to hear of his problems. interviewed Hazel a couple of days before the season kicked off and he still had high hopes for him. and the suspension was known to be for 2 games all along. your post could be interpreted as if he were being reinstated early, he wasn't.

Purdue was better off with Danny Hope. Hazell has won 5 games in 2+ years. 2 of those 5 wins came against Indiana State.

Well, we saw how well that worked on the IU basketball team and that was for a first offense.

Hope the kid can get it together and overcome some of the bad influence in his life.

I have been saying that since he was hired. Hope was average and I understand the need to hire someone different, but Hazell was a lateral to below move at best, AND he changed the systems on both sides of the ball. It takes time to make a difference there. He needs at least 5 years, but I'm not sure he gets more than 3. The program has started to follow our model of hiring/firing coaches every 3 to 5 years. It don't work very well.
