Tanner Gordon is on the mound for IU. IU has outhit PSU, 6 to 1 so far. Lloyd hit a 3-run homer in the 3rd to give IU its lead.

In a forgettable 5th inning, a throwing error by Cross after a single, combined with two other singles and a balk by Gordon, all added up to three PSU runs as they tie the game.

Tommy Sommer has relieved Gordon going into the 7th.

IU broke through for two runs in the 8th. After one out, back-to-back doubles by Dunham and Barr scored a run, then after a single by Richardson put runners on 1st and 3rd, a double by Bradley scored another run. Lloyd has relieved Sommer going into the 9th.

It is Bark in the Park day, and after howling in disapproval after that 5th inning, I'm sure they were barking in approval at the end of the game. After relieving themselves, they will be ready for game two. Lloyd, after walking the leadoff batter, got a K and a double-play ball to get the save. Sommer got the win in relief. IU's box scored:

Was our first game to attend. Had a blast. Can’t help but root for Mercer and these kids to do well.
