And while it’s minor, did you notice that when they mentioned the Garrett connection the announcer mentioned that Bill Garrett played at Assembly Hall?

Yep, super cool! Hard to believe how recent that was in terms of modern history. And when they played last night, it wasn't 1 single black player across both rosters, but many, and both teams coached by black Coaches.

That was Hummel who said that. He’s obviously too young to realize that AH wasn’t around when he played here. He didn’t do his homework.

Also, the grandson was one of their starting guards last night.

I thought it was the other guy, not Hummel. I thought the producer might have corrected it and passed it along to them. But, overall, it was minor and didn’t detract from the moment.

Quite forgivable, but something he probably should've known or guessed at. When was AH opened, 1971? He could've just left it at "... he played here!"

And, honestly, it's a testament to how good Hummel is that I'd even criticize him about something so trivial at his age. But, I think he's got a long career ahead of him in broadcasting if he wants to stick with it. He's very good already and only 32 they said... and 1-2 in AH I believe!
