I’m curious. Does anyone know for a situation like San Diego where they have been here for a few days before playing, do visiting teams have access to the Bart to practice and experience the cold and the turf? Do they practice at a local high school or in Mellencamp?

Depends, in some cases yes and no. Usually every visiting team has a pregame BP where they get reps. As far as using the facilities before the series, some teams are cordial and allow teams access. Some teams are not and then teams can look elsewhere if they want to do so. But mostly the pregame BP is where teams get their reps before the game and series.
