Wow! 24 schools have expressed interest in this guy. Must be one helluva player.Terry is a 6'3 Guard who shoots 34.5% from 3.

Wonder how Bradley missed the tournament with a great shooter like this on their team.
Seriously?
I hope somebody else gets him, just another mediocre to bad shooter being added to a team of mediocre to bad shooters.Terry is a 6'3 Guard who shoots 34.5% from 3.

Looking at these two guys---both 6'3".....
Terry Roberts---From Florida.....originally a JUCO guy.....grades, or looking to play up? Don't know. But he's an impressive player. Has huge assists and rebounding #s. Here's a good story about him--
Terry Roberts is quickly becoming one of the portal's hottest PGs
Mar. 26, 2022 - Terry Roberts led Bradley in points, assists, steals. He is now in the portal and On3 caught up to see who he's talking withwww.on3.com
Know nothing about his character. Assuming he is ok there, we could only wish he'd sign with us
What were Nick Zeisloft’s numbers at Illinois State? 11ppg? Mid 30s % 3ptrs? Ofcourse he had a pg named Yogi Ferrell. As for Cameron Healy-----right now, frankly, he's more our speed. Very unimpressive rebounding, assist and steal #s.
Per every 40M. Terry with 6.8 rebs, 5.7 assists, and 2.2 steals. Same #s for Healy are 3.1, 1.9 & .9.
Healy is the better pure shooter. Terry last yr: .502 on 2s; .345 on 3s, .700 on FTs. Healy: .553; .365; .762. He was an efficient scorer---avg. 18.2 per every 40M v. 20.1 for Terry.
Conclusion....Terry has very large upside. Are there any character issues? Don't know. Healy is a 5th year guy--maybe with 2 years left? Originally from Australia. Went to Montverde HS in Florida, which is of interest. A little over 2 to 1 as far as 3 pt attempts to 2 pt attempts. Terry is the exact opposite--2x the # of 2 pt attempts to 3 pt attemts
One other thing....Healy doesn't turn the ball over much...basically 2x every 40M v. 4 for Terry. As for Cameron Healy-----right now, frankly, he's more our speed. Very unimpressive rebounding, assist and steal #s.

Actually sounds a lot like X Johnson....story says he's a PG and thus the assist & TP #s.Looking at these two guys---both 6'3".....

That said, with Race, Trace and Durr all potentially gone - arguably we need size just as much.
Size that can shoot would be pretty awesome. Like a Jack Nunge type of guy.
I've seen mention elsewhere of IU reaching out to Ali Ali, a thin 6'6" 2 guard/SF from Akron, originally from Indiana. I'm not overly impressed with his stats or highlights, but did want to add mention of him.Terry is a 6'3 Guard who shoots 34.5% from 3.

If BOTH TJD and Race leave...then I think we have to go after someone that can defend and rebound B10 level bigs. There will still be some pretty solid bigs to contend with in the conference in Cockburn, Dickinson, Edey, etc...
Assuming at least one of them comes back though, as I've stated before, we need to go after the best all around, strongest, most physical 6'4 to 6'8 wings we can find. Obviously if they can hit outside shots, that'd be very helpful too.
Lots of "Ifs" here...but not too far of a reach I don't think
IF:
-Race or TJD anchoring the post
-Transfer 6'5-6'7 ish versatile, strong, football player looking wing that can hit shots
-Xavier comes back with his head on straight like he finished the year
-JHS shows what he showed against elite HS competition (solid all around, physical, PG)
-Tamar and Jordan both progress
We'll easily be upper half of the B10...with a chance to compete up for a title maybe.
-If both TJD and Race are back, depending on how they're used, it takes the team above and makes it a legit B10 title contender
-If either or both of Gunn or Banks come in and contribute more than expected, above the rest of the stuff already mentioned, it makes us a Final Four capable team.
Whether or not we actually fullfill any of the lofty things we'll be capable of, will depend on whether we figure out how to put teams away and/or win close games.
Kopp is about 6-5, maybe 6-5.5.Wow, I was right with you until you threw out that FF reference.
If we do get a 6'5" or 6'6" guy I do hope he's a tough guy, not a Kopp who at 6'7" averages 3 rebounds/game. (Or Ali, the 6'6" Akron player in the portal, from Indiana originally). We can't have another low volume 3 point shooter who doesn't rebound, imo. One thing about the Healy kid (the only good thing, as far as I can see) is that he does shoot a good # of 3s.
And plays like 6'2"Kopp is about 6-5, maybe 6-5.5.
The FF reference caught my eye too, but with those returnees and if we get lucky (for once) with a sophomore bump and a freshman surprise I wouldn't call it crazy. Both Kansas and NC were beatable for much of the year and then caught fire.Wow, I was right with you until you threw out that FF reference.

They appear to be going hard after Reneau. Unless you don’t count that? The coaching staff seems strangely confident about the situation with the bigs........feels as if they are pretty confident they'll at least have 2/3 of TJD, Race & JG. Either that, or they're chewing on their fingernails, while waiting and hoping for the best.

You missed the point, which was to imagine XJ, TJD, and Race with 2 other reasonable scoring threats. Not sure why you felt the slam on Woodson was relevant.Yeah, what happened with UNC is kind of crazy. In their 9 losses, their average margin of defeat was 17 pts, with only one loss of fewer than 9 pts. Before their win against Duke in the last regular season game, their best wins were against VT and Mich, and without that Duke win, they could have missed out on the tournament altogether

I leave myself a lot of wiggle room with Final Four "capable"...Wow, I was right with you until you threw out that FF reference.

Anybody who is heading to IU sucks fat nuts. Just ask the hate crew. (Yes, closely related to the Paint Crew)Terry is a 6'3 Guard who shoots 34.5% from 3.

I don't expect much from the portal. The best we could hope for is an overachieving mid major player.Terry is a 6'3 Guard who shoots 34.5% from 3.
