The latest Executive order out of Washington is just one more example of a decades old problem of poor leadership. President Trump’s administration used a previously sparingly used policy in an effort to deter illeagle immigration by using it as the norm. Frankly I don’t care what anyone’s opinion on that policy is, everyone has a right to their opinion. But instead of announcing the policy, taking ownership of it, and explaining why he felt it was the correct course, he blamed it on people that had nothing to do with its implementation.
That isn’t leadership, and just as bad it is a bald faced lie. To make matters worse he lied so often he painted himself into a corner. In the end he signed an executive order to end a policy that could have just as easily been ended with a phone call.
