As expected, IU dropped out of three of the four polls they were in last week. They remained in the Perfect Game Poll, but dropped all of the way down from 14th to the last spot at 25th which is their lowest ranking in that poll this season. IU, who had entered the USA Today Coaches Poll for the first time last week, not only dropped out, but received just one vote. With the exception of Bierman, who pitched well enough to win the game, IU didn't look like a team that should be ranked as they picked a nationally televised game on ESPN2 to put in what was a lackluster performance in most aspects of the game in a key conference game. Nebraska, who took two from an undermanned NW team over the weekend and leads the B1G, was not ranked at all in the five polls I saw. Michigan, which took the series from IU was ranked near the bottom of three polls. When it comes to the polls, perception is everything, and that showing on national TV impressed no one.
