Planning a trip to Mexico City + spring schedule

Looking at the spring roster, it appears Caulfeld is back (he graduated in Dec) and will likely be the favorite for starting GK next year. Not much returning experience on that roster.

The Spring season opened over the weekend with 9v9 games against Valpo and UIndy. IU won 4-1 and 5-0. Wittenbrink, Black, Schmidt, and Weaver the goal scorers. Not much other info available as it was closed to the public. Scheduled to play DePaul this Saturday outdoors, but mother nature might force a cancellation.

IU beats DePaul 1-0 in what must have been a frigid night at Grand Park Saturday. Ian Black emerging as the go-to-guy up top.

Ian Black with his 7th goal of the spring to defeat the squad from Mexico. I'm sure snowling will link an article soon :)

Pretty successful trip to Mexico. Of course, we have no idea how good the competition was. It'll be interesting to see if Black emerges as the goal scoring threat next year. IU has a lot of roles to fill.

Tough to read too much into spring games against lesser opponents, but looks like plenty of guys ready to step up and fill those 10 departed roster spots. Remember there are also 2 national team guys in the recruiting class. There will be plenty of talent on the field come next season.

Spring season complete with a 7-1 record. The only loss to Notre Dame on an indoor field. Looking forward to see who fills all the starting spots in the fall.
