Trump never broke 50% in his entire presidency. Biden is doing a lot of good things. Things that even Republican voters like.

And within 100 days, 200 million people have had at least one shot of vaccine.

It is the height of partisanship to ascribe the vaccine success to Biden. Manufacturing and release lead times alone show this was on a glide path under Trump.

Biden is not doing good things in fact he is pooping all over the white house but i am sure 59% of the dems voted

Huge difference between Trump’s nonexistent Covid Plan and that of Joe Biden.

Kaiser Foundation:

Trump passed on buying more Pfizer dose

The Trump Admin

“There were multiple conversations with the U.S. government about taking more supply in the second quarter. The company wasn't taken up on that offer, as recently as November," Gottlieb said on "Squawk Box."

Secondly, it wasn’t just the development of the vaccine, it was Trump’s non-existent distribution plan. Pfizer’s vaccine wasn’t part of “Project Warp Speed” and is manufactured in Michigan, so I’m sure this was Trump taking another shot at Governor Whitmer.

Trump Admin had ZERO plan to distribute vaccines.

Vs Biden’s ambitious plan:

And Biden has reached his target while Trump left everything up to the states, got vaccinated himself, then hit the links for the rest of his presidency.

You really can’t see the difference in response to the pandemic between the two administrations? Because most Americans can: 70% of Americans approve of Biden’s handling of the virus:

Consumer spending up almost 10%, doubling analysts forecasts. This is due to the stimulus, which Republicans fought tooth and nail.

Most of this is misdirection. It doesn’t matter that 70% think Biden’s response is better - who cares.

Pfizer did take money from the government. That’s just blatantly false. Pure partisanship.

Trump effed up COVID six ways from Sunday but the Warp Speed and vaccine planning was a lone bright spot in it. Nothing you posted goes contrary to that fact.

My backwards ass state only just now opened to a group other than 1A and hospitals here were throwing away 30% of doses per my friend who works in one as an ER doc. That has nothing to do with Biden or Trump - it has to do with an incompetent state government.

Crediting Biden with anything other than being handed golden eggs and not cracking them on the way is simply the peak of partisanship. Period.

Biden’s Infrastructure bill (again, fought tooth and nail by Republicans) will create millions of blue collar jobs:

Dude. I love ya but you need to read it past the headline. This CEW is an ultra left wing “think tank” that released this miracle finding before the details of the infrastructure plan were even released by the White House.

Wrong.

Pfizer:

Pfizer did not accept federal funding to help develop or manufacture the vaccine, unlike front-runners Moderna and AstraZeneca.

Pfizer has distanced itself from Mr. Trump and Operation Warp Speed. “In an interview on Sunday, Kathrin Jansen, a senior vice president and the head of vaccine research and development at Pfizer, said, “We were never part of the Warp Speed,” adding, “we have never taken any money from the U.S. government, or from anyone.”

They sold their vaccine to the government, but took no government money to develop it.

Okay, what at about Goldman Sachs?

Read the article. All the way through. Like an adult.

In response, Pfizer spokesperson Sharon Castillo provided a statement that said the company is indeed part of Operation Warp Speed.

"Pfizer is one of various vaccine manufacturers participating in Operation Warp Speed as a supplier of a potential COVID-19 vaccine," Castillo said in an email. "While Pfizer did reach an advanced purchase agreement with the U.S. government, the company did not accept (Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority) funding for the research and development process. All the investment for R&D was made by Pfizer at risk. Dr. Jansen was emphasizing that last point."

The advance purchase agreement is part of Warp Speed, I think is the point.

The government bought the vaccine, they didn’t fund its development. But in true Trump moronic fashion, he turned down a huge offer from Pfizer for 500 million doses. So it went mostly to the EU.

Advance purchase agreements don't fund development directly, but they do incentivize it. It's almost like funding a project after the fact.

It highly shapes the EV (expected value) equation and nets a positive NPV after factoring in probability of technical and regulatory success (PTRS).

I understand what happens after a drug is developed. People buy it.

Almost like paying for its development.in the case of Moderna and other manufacturers, they took money from the government and also sold it to the government. That’s why the Vice President in charge of development said they took no US Govt money.

Trump even f^cked up the purchase and only 16% of what he could have obtained.

Oh so the politically charged hyper partisan chief of staff said so. Oh ok. I’m convinced.

Vaccine distribution has nothing to do with any White House. Trump’s Warp Speed was a success. Other than taking out Suleimani it’s about all that I give him credit for. Your derangement syndrome and gullibility for fake news is preventing you from seeing the obvious, that Biden was dealt pocket aces and hasn’t mismanaged that hand.

Silliness doc. Partisan political and media silliness. You had massive federal agencies (DOD/HHS) working for months with fed ex ups and others. You think all these agency employees were sitting around playing words with friends. The starting from scratch nonsense was pure bullshit.

Biden took over for last mile coordination with locals and from what I’ve read did a good job. In my view the creating classes of who gets it first was dumb. Stick any arm. But it was a new thing so shit happens

This hyper partisan stuff has to stop.

That’s better that it’s actually Goldman saying something about Biden! But that has nothing to do with the infrastructure plan that you mentioned. Just sayin’

If you read the article like an adult, it says:

Next Stop Infrastructure:

Biden has said he aims to pass a massive infrastructure measure to further juice the US recovery. Such a plan will come with a price tag of at least $2 trillion, though details are scarce for now, Goldman said.Inclusion of funding for child care, health care, or education could push the sum to $4 trillion, though tax hikes would probably be needed to fund such a package, the bank added.

Biden campaigned on a $2 trillion package, though some Democratic senators indicate they favor even larger spending. Sen. Joe Manchin of West Virginia, an influential moderate member of the caucus, has said he could support up to $4 trillion, while Sen. Dick Durbin of Illinois, a member of party leadership, has said he could support $3 trillion.

Infrastructure spending would have a less pronounced impact on growth, but Goldman still sees the package driving a stronger expansion through 2022. The economy will expand 2.9% next year on a Q4-Q4 basis, up from the bank's prior forecast of 2.4%.

So what is it? Goldman says the infra package will have a less pronounced impact on growth ... what’s your thesis? We’re talking about infrastructure and how awesome Biden is right?

Bank of America says Infrastructure Plan could add 2-9% GDP growth.

“All told, the bank estimates Biden’s $2 trillion deficit-financed infrastructure plan could yield a GDP boost of between 2% and 9% in the short run and “considerably more” in the long run, adding that each 1% move in U.S. GDP growth should translate into roughly 3% to 4% growth in the earnings of S&P 500 companies.”

If you read the article like an adult, Goldman is saying the infrastructure plan will add less to GDP than the original Biden stimulus plan where checks were sent out. But they still believe it will stimulate the economy.

UBS, S&P, Bank of America, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, all agree on this. Jamie Dimon himself says the growth could last until 2023. Why are you having so much trouble with this?

It doesn’t sound like Pfizer was too keen on being called part of Operation Warp Speed, but they probably caved to Trump to get the order.

The BioNtech project to develop a novel mRNA technology for a COVID-19 vaccine was called "Project Lightspeed", which started in mid-January 2020 at BioNTech's laboratories in Mainz, Germany, just days after the SARS-Cov-2 genetic sequence was first made public.[51]In September 2020, BioNTech received €375 million (US$445 million) from the government of Germany to accelerate the development and production capacity of the Pfizer–BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine.[52]

Pfizer CEO Albert Bourla said that the company decided against taking Warp Speed funding for the development of the vaccine out of a desire "to liberate our scientists [from] any bureaucracy that comes with having to give reports and agree how we are going to spend the money in parallel or together".

On July 22, Operation Warp Speed placed an advance-purchase order of $2 billion with Pfizer to manufacture 100 million doses of a COVID-19 vaccine for use in the United States when the vaccine was shown to be safe, effective, licensed, and authorized by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).[54][55][56] Because it is a two-dose vaccine, this would be enough to vaccinate fifty million Americans. (Pfizer contracted to sell twice that amount of vaccine to the European Union.)[57] On November 9, the Pfizer-BioNTech partnership announced positive early results from its Phase III trial of the BNT162b2 vaccine candidate, and on December 11, the FDA provided emergency use authorization, initiating the distribution of the vaccine.[58]

Pfizer initially said it was not a participant in Operation Warp Speed because it did not accept taxpayer funds for research and development, but the White House said the government's advance-order purchase for a hundred million doses of vaccine made Pfizer a participant.[59] Company representatives said in November that "the company is part of Operation Warp Speed as a supplier of a potential coronavirus vaccine,"[60] and that "Pfizer is proud to be one of various vaccine manufacturers participating in Operation Warp Speed as a supplier of a potential COVID-19 vaccine."[61]A spokesperson for Pfizer, however, clarified that they had "not taken federal money for R&D",[62] but rather its partner, BioNTech, had received substantial funding for accelerated vaccine development and manufacturing from the German government.

You were posting articles about the infrastructure plan and how it was going to make the economy take off. You’ve yet to post something to corroborate that. But you’re sure sticking to the “I was right!” narrative.

Didn’t you say earlier in this thread that a statement from the Biden Admin was just partisan garbage? But Pfizer said it wasn’t part of Operation Warp Speed until the Trump White House said they were.

Pfizer changed their tune, only because there was a $2 billion order on the line.

If you can read like an adult. Try to think like one too.
