Next up is a look at Penn State for 2024-25.

One interesting aspect of PSU 2024-25 is that 9/10 of the players most likely to see playing time are current or former transfers, and the 10th is a true freshman.

The biggest ? for PSU is the status of Ace Baldwin. He did not enter his name in the portal and wasn't invited to the NBA camp. He hasn't announced any intention to go pro either in the NBA or Europe. And PSU hasn't recruited a PG out of the portal. So it appears he is returning, although he has made no official announcement. If for any reason he does not return PSU is probably a bottom 4 team in the BT.

The possible rotation players appear to be:

--6'1: Ace Baldwin
--6'4" Freddie Dilione (TR)
--6'8" Kachi Nzeh (TR)
--6'8" Puff Johnson
--6'8" Zach Hicks
--6'6" Nick Kern Jr.
--6'11"Yanic Niederhausen (TR)
--6'5" Demarco Dunn
--6'8" Eli Rice (TR)
--6'10" Miles Goodman (FR)

The 5 position is the 2nd biggest question mark for PSU. Goodman is a borderline top 100 HS recruit who will probably compete with Nzeh and Niederhauser for pt.

Otherwise there are a lot of other interchangeable wing types with Puff Johnson and Dilione perhaps having the highest ceilings. Dunn is a former top 60 UNC recruit who has yet to make much of an impact.

Assuming Baldwin returns PSU projects to be much like last year. 1 star player, uncertainty at the 5, and 6 or so competent wing players This looks like a 7th to 9th place 10-10 type team.
